Nobody has ever woken up excited to fill in the unit_pricing_measure for 3,000 products in your Google Ads feed. It's the little field that tells Google for example your bottle is 70cl, so it can show the price per litre next to it. In the EU it's mandatory for anything sold by weight or volume, and if it's missing your products can get disapproved. FUn! So in most feeds I open it's empty for almost every product, because the alternative is a human being typing "70cl" three thousand times. FeedFixer just fills it. It reads the measure out of the title first, then out of your own contents column if the feed has one, and if both are empty it takes the net quantity from the barcode data. In the screenshot that's 3,304 of the 3,326 products, checked against the whole feed before anything even runs. It sets the base measure along with it, so ml and cl get 100ml, litres 1l, grams 100g and kilos 1kg. Most of the work went into teaching it when to keep its hands off. Sixty tablets is sixty pieces, not the milligrams printed on the box. A bedsheet of 140 by 200 cm has no price per metre, so it stays empty. And it never reads the description, because thats often just noise. Not the most glamorous field in a feed, but I'm happy this one is filled :)

Added a new option to FeedFixer (sideproject to fix Google Ads product feeds) today, so it can now make lifestyle images from the product photo that's already in the feed! Google Shopping has a separate field for these, next to your normal product image. It's optional, and doing a photoshoot for thousands of products isn't realistic, so it often stays empty. Earlier this summer I did this for one client outside the tool, a few dozen images at a time. It worked, but it took a lot of manual steps, so now it's built in: → It starts from the real product photo, so the product and the label stay the same → No text, prices or logos get added, because Google doesn't allow them on lifestyle images → Every image gets the metadata tag that tells Google it's AI generated, which is required and easy to forget → The image is stored, so the next run reuses it unless the product photo changes The screenshot shows the first one. Pretty happy with how the label came out!

I'm starting to enjoy working on my sideproject "Feedfixer" more and more. And it's really helping me in speeding up my feed optimization for Google Ads. 3,314 products, audited in 31 seconds on all attributes. → Titles from 66.1% clean to 99.1% with built in default rules based on Google's own specs and PPC Hub feed optimzation skill Most of it is plain rules that now run on every feed. But I connected it to AI tools as well to further optimize and perfect the titles that fall outside of the default rules. Still quite a bit of fields to fix here though :)

Every AI landing page needs real input. Star ratings, quotes, a press logo or two. The page looks great but it wont work if the stats are not real

If you set up proper tracking you can actually find out what someone who sent a support email did, and how you can improve your information to make them buy instead of silently drop off or email you.
