➤ 19. Repairable, recyclable robots
➝ Modular design: you swap a part, not the whole robot.
➤ 20. Universal translators
➝ Every robot speaks every language, serving as guide and interpreter anywhere.
✓ Key Takeaways
• These are educated guesses, not certainties.
• In 75 years, unforeseen breakthroughs (or setbacks) could change everything.
What do you think of these predictions?
10 communication links you'll often find in robots and what each one does:
• EtherCAT: Servo drives. Real-time communication with precise timing across multiple drives.
• RS-485: Joint motors. A noise-resistant differential interface. Example: Unitree's GO-M8010-6 motor.
• CAN: Joint actuators. A robust multi-master bus where message IDs determine priority.
• UART: Microcontrollers and some sensors. Simple serial communication using TX and RX.
• SPI: IMUs and encoders. Fast communication over short distances.
• I²C: Sensors on the same board. A shared two-wire bus for connecting multiple devices.
• USB: Cameras and peripherals. Convenient connections for data transfer and device setup.
• Ethernet: LiDAR and the main computer. High-bandwidth communication for large data streams.
• Wi-Fi: Wireless teleoperation, configuration and diagnostics.
• Bluetooth: Short-range wireless communication for setup and diagnostics.
One detail worth remembering: the communication interface depends on the hardware design.
Not every robot uses all of them. It depends on the design.

Anthropic hired this engineer at $350K–$850K a year because he knows how to build harnesses for multi-agent systems
In a 12-minute workshop, he shows exactly how to build one from scratch
AI → Agents → Harness → Loops → Graphs
step 1 → start with the Claude Agent → the harness handles loops, context, and sandboxing
step 2 → separate the brain from the hands → reasoning in one place, tools in a sandbox, 60% faster to first token
step 3 → run it server-side and log every step → close your laptop and it keeps running, crashes resume from the log
step 4 → make failure cheap → retry dead sandboxes and replay lost context instead of starting over
step 5 → turn yesterday's logs into new memory and skills → the harness wakes up smarter
Anthropic calls this "dreaming"
Most people spend weeks building this by hand
You don't have to

here’s how to build a japanese canal boat game with claude opus 5.5 + unity 6 + blender..
the trick is one system per prompt, smart way to set it up:
- step 1: create a unity 6 urp project and connect opus 5.5 through unity’s plugin and blender mcp
- step 2: greybox the canal: water channel, stone walls, 2 bridges, docks
- step 3: boat physics: throttle, steering, wake trails, speed in knots on the hud
- step 4: opus models the props in blender: the covered boat, houses, the vermilion bridge, the pagoda, lanterns
- step 5: water shader + day/night cycle + rain, with lanterns that switch on at dusk
- step 6: a compass on top and 9 landmarks that unlock on the map (“water gate, 3 of 9”)
- step 7: docking lessons: “come alongside the temple steps below 2 kn and press e”
- step 8: opus playtests in play mode, reads the console and lists bugs before fixing
who does what:
> blender: every model
> unity 6: the water, the light, the weather, the ui
> opus 5.5: boat physics, quests, scene setup, tests
> you: steer it and say what feels off
i like to test every feature at night in the rain. if it still looks good there, it’ll look good everywhere.

卧槽,全体起立!748B 的 DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017,128G 内存的 Mac 就能本地跑了!
Unsloth

Three years ago I downloaded “a little weekend project” on Instructables: a pair of animatronic eyes open sourced by Will Cogley.
I never stopped iterating around it. A head, then a body, and those eyes became Vita, a robot that moves, talks and streams 24/7 from my workshop.
Now my new robot MOSS, a fully open source build, is featured on the Instructables homepage. From downloading my first project there to sharing my own.
The loop is closed.

Google has released a free 1-hour course on AI engineering, covering everything from building your first AI agent to creating fully autonomous systems.
7:02 — Build your first AI agent
13:34 — Explore what AI agents can do
23:08 — Learn context engineering
32:56 — Understand graph engineering
54:11 — Create a fully autonomous system
One agent can save hours of work. Multiple agents can completely change how a team operates.
Prompts → Agents → Loops → Graphs
Most people focus on prompts, but the real power comes from building AI systems that can think, act, and improve through structured workflows.
Same models. Same tokens. Better systems. Better results.
Watch the full course and save it for later.
The complete guide to loops and graphs is below. 👇

Full details of a remotely exploitable vulnerability in the core engine of *all* PHP versions will be released tomorrow, October 21st. If your organization has internet facing PHP applications then you need to be ready to patch the minute the update is released or *strongly* consider taking the application offline until you can:
php.net/index.php#2026-10-20…
🚨 PHP warns of two critical vulnerabilities as emergency patches arrive tomorrow
The PHP security team will release updates on October 21 at 14:00 UTC for two vulnerabilities, each rated 9.2 under CVSS v4.0.
⠀
Security researchers identified the flaws as CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619 and described them as remote code execution vulnerabilities reportedly affecting PHP versions 5 through 8.
PHP has not yet confirmed the affected versions, exploitation requirements or fixed releases.
⠀
The vulnerabilities were reportedly leaked before their planned disclosure. Researchers said they have not observed active exploitation, while PHP warned it may release the patches early if technical details become public or exploitation is detected.
⠀
Administrators should identify PHP installations now and prepare to apply the updates as soon as they become available.

‼️ Meta's Muse AI agent put the titles of shared chats in their web addresses, where public DNS logs picked them up.
Security firm Claroc found 6,800+ of those chats with one search, from a loan application to a bank fraud alert.
Meta says it has paused sharing.
