It’s official - Netanyahu is now in charge of a rogue government that even ignores its own rule of law. Shameful.
🚨🇮🇱The Netanyahu government decided today unanimously not to abide by a Supreme Court ruling 🚨🇮🇱This is the first time this happens in the history of Israel and it dramatically exacerbates the constitutional crisis ahead of the October elections

My god this is a car crash. Note also he says no politician has been in more danger than him for over a decade, during which time two MPs have actually been killed, neither of them from his party. He is so tetchy. The idea of this grifter as PM is absurd.

Israel has turned its prisons into a network of torture camps for Palestinians. Prisoners are subjected to severe violence, deliberate humiliation, starvation, sleep deprivation, denial of medical care and abuse in everyfacility they are held in. Some have also been severely sexually assaulted. Since October 2023, at least 84 Palestinians have died in these torture camps. The policymakers, and primarily Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir, brag in TV puff pieces and on social media about what is happening in these torture camps. Today, we published “Living Hell”, a report on the situation of Palestinians in Israeli custody. It is based on the testimonies of Palestinians released in recent months, along with research, reports, news updates and Israel Prison Service figures, and continues our previous report on the issue, “Welcome to Hell”, from August 2024. Systematic, deliberate abuse continues to define Israel’s policy toward Palestinian prisoners in its custody, and is another feature of the Israeli regime’s coordinated onslaught on the Palestinian people. President Trump is constrained by markets and munitions to find an off ramp in the war with Iran. Thus far, our tactical successes have come at the cost of strategic failure. See below for my conversation with @FareedZakaria

Absolutely Lawless when it comes to killing and stealing land. Inside and out. “Since 2020 Israeli soldiers and settlers have killed at least 1,100 Palestinian civilians in the occupied West Bank, at least a quarter of whom were children, UN data shows. No one has been charged over any of these deaths.” theguardian.com/world/2026/m…

Israeli settler violence in the occupied West Bank “is going into overdrive, it’s worse than ever,” says Norway’s Foreign Minister @EspenBarthEide. “Settler violence, settler activity, even supported by the Israeli government, allowing settlers to take full control of territories that legally is Palestine and which even agreements that Israel has signed have recognized as to be controlled by Palestinians.”
