Long before the issue of reparations reached the UN, campaigners kept it alive through decades of dismissal and ridicule.
Ahead of the UK Reparations Conference, I've written for The Voice about why they must be at the heart of what happens next.

We urgently need more Black blood donors, with @NHSBT only able to meet half of hospital demand for the Ro blood type.
In Sickle Cell Awareness Month, I’ve tabled an EDM calling for action.
Please give blood this month and ask your MP to sign 🩸

Fantastic news! Buy Back Brixton has been named as preferred buyer of Brixton Village and Market Row with up to 6 months to raise funds and complete the sale.
It's not a done deal but we are one step closer to making history by bringing the market under community ownership.

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Councillor Annie Gallop, our Labour councillor for Myatts Field ward passed away on Sunday.
Annie was a lifelong community activist. Her passing is a devastating loss to us all.
Our thoughts are with her family at this time.

We are so delighted with this beautiful video that celebrates 30 yrs of Ebony. Our visit from our President today was truly special for all of us. Please watch!
Celebrating 30 years of Ebony Horse Club. 🐴
The Queen, President of Ebony Horse Club, visited the youth charity and community riding centre at their stables in Brixton.
🐎 Her Majesty met volunteers and young people who use the stables, including two teenagers who have just gained places at the British Racing School.
The Queen also met horses, including Taylor and Maggie, who have joined Ebony from the Royal Mews.

Honoured to progress my first legislation as a Government Minister, and for a Bill that is close to my heart.
Introducing votes at 16 to give our young people a strong voice, while protecting the system from malign interference.
