The raised/stage area to the side of the DJ feels like a key dancing space.
The 'laser grid' lighting directly above the dancefloor is a strong addition.
Today's Day Time Disco in the Joshua Brooks basement has surprise DJs, no line-up announcement.
Right now it's Mark Plumb.
So the booth now kind of faces towards the arch, so that people in either half can see the DJ.
Imagine the booth being to the side of where the cloakroom was.
Joshua Brooks basement: The front stairs are now better illuminated.
There is obvious air con on, for those of you that have been desperate for a temp drop for years.

The bar is in the old raised recess at the back stairs.
Venue News: Joshua Brooks have revealed that the basement has undergone some refurbishment that we think includes removal of walls/brickwork in order to open up the space.
The basement appears to be reopening with unknown parties on Friday Oct 11th and Saturday 12th.
Venue News: Kable (the basement club of the Brickhouse Social bar) closed down just over two months ago, but there's good news.
New owners with a refurbished venue are coming soon.
The 400 capacity venue previously hosted a wide range of underground club nights.
Event News: After hosting the second room in Sankeys over last bank holiday weekend, local nights Tempo and Resonate are collaborating once again in September, this time at The Yard in Cheetham Hill.

Anyone else find it odd that Sankeys is just... closed for two Saturdays?
No announcement of 'an Easter break' or such, just nothing listed and no tickets for two weekends...
Most clubs run extra shows at Easter.
Venue News: Although Sankeys are due to end their 2026 run of return events on June 27th, we've learned that they will be returning in the autumn.
The club is scheduled to start up again on Saturday September 26th, with weekly shows culminating on Saturday December 19th.
Who knows who might be playing an unannounced set next?
