@liberal_party @MarkJCarney @CanadianPM @gilmcgowan @nenshi @MargTokar Nation Building should benefit Canadians first. We don’t need the exported oil. That can come later, if ever. It shouldn’t be funded by public money. If industry can’t justify the investment—why would we?
I’ve been doing some rough comparative math that I’ll share soon. Put $50 billion into one major pipeline and you may create thousands of construction jobs, but relatively few permanent operating jobs. Put the same capital over four years into hospitals, long-term care, schools, housing and neglected infrastructure in Alberta and B.C., and the preliminary numbers suggest tens of thousands of permanent jobs—while building things Canadians already desperately need.
That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t eventually build another pipeline. It means we should reconsider what we call “nation-building.” Moving more Canadian resources to customers in other countries has economic value, but so does strengthening Canadian communities, relieving hospital bed-block, caring for seniors and building the workforce we will need for tomorrow’s major projects. It comes back to an order of business: meet the needs we already have, build our capacity, and then build bigger.

When everyone sat in their houses during covid collecting $2000 covid cheques,
They had no issue with Immigrants doing the work to keep the economy running and goods flowing !
Progress requires the willingness to move beyond what is familiar, challenge assumptions, and act on what we've learned. Even small steps forward can create opportunities that standing still never will. #leadership #management @liberal_party

“David Coletto of Abacus Data polled on that and found that only one-third of the separatist voters truly want Alberta independence.
The convinced separatist vote in Alberta is about eight per cent.”

Leadership is not about the recognition that comes with a title or position. It begins with accepting responsibility for decisions, their consequences, and the people who depend on us. @liberal_party #leadership #LeadershipDevelopment

Incredibly honoured to have been asked to serve as Special Advisor to Minister Joly and the Prime Minister of Canada. As I begin this next chapter, I’m grateful for another opportunity to serve Canada.
C’est un immense honneur d’avoir été invité à agir à titre de conseiller spécial auprès de la ministre Joly et du premier ministre du Canada.Alors que je commence ce nouveau chapitre, je suis reconnaissant de pouvoir à nouveau servir le Canada.
I’m beginning to wonder whether we need a program guide to keep track of the different versions! 😂
Is this a genuine change in direction, or simply a change in messaging? Albertans deserve consistency, and the real test will be what she does next, not what she says tonight.
Now, I can’t decide whether I like the last week’s tearful Danielle Smith that coddled separatists and MAGA, or today’s Danielle who appears to have bought a federal Liberal membership and became Captain Canada.
Would the real Danielle please stand up!

Now that the referendum is behind us, it’s time to return to the priorities that affect Albertans every day. Healthcare, education, housing, affordability and economic stability haven’t become any less urgent while our government pursued its political agenda.
Albertans deserve leadership focused on solving real problems, not creating new distractions.

There are still serious questions about political judgment, accountability and the priorities that brought Alberta to this point.
The referendum may be over, but the responsibility for what happened hasn’t disappeared. Nor should our demand for answers.

Danielle Smith just had the most expensive referendum in Canadian history,
$130 million dollars !
RESIGN Smith..
