Recent events in the தமிழ் finfluencer community have clearly gone too far.
போட்டி காரணமாக இவர்களின் நடத்தையால் ஓரு இளைஞனை தற்கொலை செய்ய தூண்டும் அளவிற்கு இது சென்று விட்டது.
Finfluencers செய்யும் தவறுகளை சரி செய்ய எந்த கட்டமைப்பும் இல்லாததை கண்டு, தொழில் முறையில் இருப்பவர்களும், முதலீட்டில் பழுத்த அனுபவம் உடையவர்களும் தொடர்ந்து கவலைப்பட்ட சூழல் நிலவியது உண்மை.
இந்த நிலை மாற உரிய இடத்தில் ( பங்கு மற்றும் MF இற்கு SEBI இடம்) புகாரை கொடுத்து உரிய மாற்றங்களை உருவாக்க முயற்சி செய்து இருக்கலாம். ஆனால், அப்படி செய்யாமல் finfluencer சமூகம் தங்களுக்குள்ளேயே ஒரு போர் துவங்கினர். இதில் பலருக்கு பங்கு இருக்கிறது.
இதில் அதிக popularity உம் following உம் உள்ள ஒரு இளைஞனை , தனி நபர் தாக்குதலுக்கு ஆளாக்கி, இயங்க விடாமல் செய்ய என்னென்ன செய்ய வேண்டுமோ அவற்றை செய்து, மன உளைச்சலுக்கு ஆளாக்கிய அவலம் அரங்கேறியது. அவரை திருத்த விரும்பி இருந்தால் அதற்கான வழிகள் வேறு. ஆனால், இவர்கள் கையாண்ட முறைகள் முற்றிலும் தவறானவை.
இதற்கெல்லாம் காரணம், finfluencers சம்பாதிக்கும் பணம். இதில் முரண் என்ன என்றால், இதில் பலரும் நம்முடைய financial system உக்கு எதிராக தவரான மற்றும் பொய் பரப்புரை செய்தே, அதிக பணம் சம்பாதிக்கும் ஒரு business model ஐ உருவாக்கி உள்ளனர்.
இதெல்லாம் நடந்தும். மற்றொரு புதிய நபரின் வளர்ச்சி தங்கள் இடத்தை பாதிக்கும் சூழல் வரும் போது, சைபர் bullying, டிஜிட்டல் வன்முறை என்று ஆட்களை அமர்த்தி இந்த வேலை பார்க்கிறார்கள் ஏற்கனவே வளர்ந்த finfluencers. எல்லாம் சமூக அக்கறை என்ற பெயரில் நடக்கும் வன்முறை.
இறந்த இளைஞன் இந்த கூட்டத்தினரை எதிர்க்க முடியாமல், தன் உயிரை எடுத்து கொண்டது மிகவும் வருத்தம் அளிக்கிறது. Rest in peace #financewithharish .

Google's Vizag data centre: growth or destruction?
Let's start with the facts, because the viral version is wrong.
❌ "600 acres of forest cleared"
✅ About 601 acres approved across 3 sites for the whole AI data centre project. At one site, permission covers clearing over 160 acres of forest land.
Still a lot of trees. But the details matter.
What's being built:
• Google's AI hub, announced at about $15 billion, India's biggest data centre bet
• One site alone is cleared for a 1 GW data centre park
• For scale: India's TOTAL data centre capacity was about 1.5 GW in 2025
⚠️ What's worrying people:
• One site is about 750 metres from Kambalakonda Wildlife Sanctuary
• A petition says excavation could block feeder streams to Mudasarlova Reservoir, a drinking water source for the city
• #Visakhapatnam district already has the lowest available groundwater in Andhra Pradesh
• The environmental clearance doesn't disclose how much water the data centre will use
The National Green Tribunal has asked the Centre to respond. The next hearing is on 26 October.
🏗️ The case for it:
• Thousands of crores of investment in a city that wants to be more than a port
• Jobs, an ecosystem of tech companies, and India's own AI infrastructure
• If India doesn't host these data centres, they'll be built in Singapore or the Gulf, and our data will live there
So what do I call it?
Neither "growth" nor "pollution."
I call it a trade-off that nobody is pricing honestly.
The company sees cheap land and fast approvals.
The government sees investment headlines.
The real cost (water, forest, a reservoir) gets paid by people who weren't at the table.
My honest view:
Development and environment aren't enemies. Bad planning is the enemy of both.
What I'd want to see:
1. Publish the water numbers. How much, from where, and what happens in a dry year.
2. Keep sensitive sites away from sanctuaries and drinking water reservoirs. There's other land.
3. Real compensatory planting, near Vizag, with public tracking. Not on paper in another district.
4. Renewable power commitments with actual percentages.
A data centre can be rebuilt anywhere. A reservoir and a forest can't.

கழக ஆட்சியின் கடந்த 2025–26 நிதிநிலை அறிக்கையில் மூலதனச் செலவினங்களுக்கு ரூ.57,231 கோடி ஒதுக்கப்பட்டது. அதில் CAG-இன் தற்காலிக மாதாந்திரக் கணக்குகளின்படி, 2025 ஏப்ரல்–செப்டம்பர் காலத்தில் ரூ.13,002.22 கோடி அளவிற்கு மெட்ரோ ரயில் உள்ளிட்ட திட்டங்களுக்கான மூலதனச் செலவு மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது. தவெக அரசு, இந்த நிதி ஆண்டில் மூலதன செலவுகளுக்காக ஒதுக்கப்பட்ட மொத்த நிதியில், அதே ஏப்ரல்- செப்டம்பர் மாத காலகட்டத்தில் மேற்கொண்ட மூலதனச் செலவு எவ்வளவு? புதிய உள்கட்டமைப்புத் திட்டங்களுக்குச் செலவிட்டது எவ்வளவு? திமுக ஆட்சியில் தொடங்கப்பட்டு செயல்படுத்தப்பட்டு வரும் திட்டப்பணிகளுக்கு இன்னும் தவெக அரசால் வழங்கப்படாமல் நிலுவையில் உள்ள தொகை எவ்வளவு? இந்த விவரங்களை எல்லாம் அரசு வெளியிடுமா?
வளர்ச்சிப் பணிகளைத் தாமதப்படுத்தியும், செய்து முடிக்கப்பட்ட பணிகளுக்கான தொகைகளை வழங்காமலும், பண இருப்பை அதிகமாகக் காட்டி, குறைந்த அளவே கடன் வாங்கிவிட்டு, அதனை நிதி மேலாண்மையின் சாதனையாகக் கூற முடியுமா? வழங்க வேண்டிய தொகைகளை நிலுவையில் வைத்திருப்பது சேமிப்பாகிவிடுமா?
முதல் அரையாண்டில் கடன் குறைந்ததாகக் கூறும் தவெக அரசு, அக்டோபர்–டிசம்பர் காலாண்டில் மட்டும் ரூ.48,000 கோடி கடன் பெறத் திட்டமிட்டுள்ளது. இது முந்தைய காலாண்டில் திரட்டிய ரூ.23,500 கோடியைவிட இரு மடங்குக்கும் அதிகமல்லவா?
த.வெ.க. அரசின் வரவு செலவுத் திட்டத்தில் உத்தேசிக்கப்பட்டதை விட, குறைந்த அளவிலேயே அரசின் வருவாய் இருந்து வரும் நிலையில், முதலீட்டுச் செலவுகளை மேற்கொள்ள முடியாமல் இந்த அரசு திணறுவதால் மட்டுமே கடன் தேவை குறைந்துள்ளது. பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான கோடி ரூபாய் மதிப்பிலான ஒப்பந்த புள்ளிகள் இரத்து செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன. வளர்ச்சிப் பணிகளை மேற்கொள்ளாதால் சாலைகள் மோசமாக உள்ளன. கட்டிடப் பணிகள் பாதியில் நிற்கின்றன. ஆயிரக்கணக்கானவர்கள் வேலை இழந்து நிற்கின்றனர். எனவே, இதனை தங்களின் சாதனை எனச் சொல்லி மக்களை ஏமாற்றுவதை விட்டுவிட்டு, மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட மூலதனச் செலவு, செய்து முடிக்கப்பட்ட பணிகளுக்கு இன்னும் விடுவிக்கப்படாமல் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள நிலுவைத் தொகை ஆகியவற்றின் முழு விவரங்களையும் வெளியிட்டு, தவெக அரசு மக்களுக்குப் பதிலளிக்க வேண்டும்.

Under Chief Minister @mkstalin's Dravidian Model regime I was personally pitching for the Sulur / Hosur ecosystems to #Embraer's team and they loved what Tamil Nadu had to offer.
Now, under the #Tvk government Embraer and Mahindra have officially identified Nagpur for the potential Final Assembly Line of the C-390 Millennium😞
A project that could bring aircraft assembly, systems integration, manufacturing engineering and an entire aerospace supply chain around it is now gone out of Tamil Nadu's hands.
This isn’t just another factory.
Embraer expects India could eventually require 60–80 C-390 aircrafts.
Embraer is also preparing for a much larger manufacturing footprint in India.
E175: Embraer and Adani Defence are proposing an Indian Final Assembly Line for the E175 regional aircraft.
E190/E195: Embraer’s E190, E195 and E195-E2 have received Indian certification, opening another large commercial aviation opportunity for Coimbatore, Hosur and Chennai.
IndiGo: India’s largest airline has also reportedly explored a potentially substantial Embraer regional-jet order.
This is precisely the kind of opportunity Tamil Nadu SHOULD BE FIGHTING FOR!
Maharashtra moved fast. Mahindra specifically thanked its Government for “expeditiously allotting the land” and facilitating the project.
So what happened to Tamil Nadu?
Tamil Nadu has the aerospace ecosystem, engineering talent and manufacturing depth to compete for projects like this.
Investment pipelines don’t run on autopilot. They need relentless follow-up.

Clarification on TN's $5.95B FDI Q1 FY27 claim:
The headline No.1 is true as per DPIIT, but 74% of it (∼$4.4B / Rs 39,618 Cr) is from a SINGLE private transaction - MUFG Bank's 20% acquisition in Shriram Finance.
This is NOT a Government-brought investment via any Investment Meet / MoU. It's a private deal between two companies, approved by CCI & RBI.
Announced: Dec 2025
CCI clearance: Mar,2026
Closed: Apr 8, 2026
RBI counts FDI by company's HQ location. Since Shriram Finance HQ is in Chennai, it was tagged to Tamil Nadu.
The remaining ∼$1.55B is the actual new inflow from manufacturing & GCCs.
So the FDI number is factually correct, but it is not linked to Government's effort for this quarter.
FDI is counted based on company HQ, so it got tagged to TN. The balance $1.55B is the real organic inflow from manufacturing & GCCs, which is still strong.
So No.1 is a good milestone for TN, but let's give credit where it's due - to our ecosystem that retains big HQs in Chennai.
