Heartbreaking news from Yorkshire Wildlife Park, where a man lost his life after entering the tiger enclosure yesterday. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. The park has confirmed Altai the tiger is safe and will not be put down, a difficult but right decision. You cannot take the wild instinct out of these magnificent animals, which is why safety barriers around close encounters are so vital. #YorkshireWildlifePark #yorkshirewildlife #tigerincident @LeedsNews @yorkshire

It’s disappointing to see a member of our wonderful Wapping community take issue with how someone chooses to dress. Wapping is stronger when we respect each other’s cultures and traditions. @Wapping_market @WappingLondon @ELAdvertiser @bbcbangla @TH2GETHER

My wife and I aren’t usually fond of movies, but after reading the reviews for _Bonolota Express_, a Bangla cinema film, we decided to watch it. I must say it was a completely different experience — a must-watch and, in my opinion, how a movie should be made. It told an amazing life lesson, unfolding on the big screen page by page, as if you were reading a book. No special effects, no nudity, no unnecessary off-topic scenes or typical song breaks. So many life lessons, and quality time together — it made for one of the best evenings we’ve had. Thank you to Bangla cinema for such an incredible experience. #Bonolotaexpress @hoichoitv #BanglaNews #banglacinema @betarbangla #bonolota #movie

This is the most distressing and baseless allegation I've faced in my political career as a council candidate in St Katharine's and Wapping. It's particularly concerning that it comes from someone claiming to support a Labour candidate. I've reported the incident to the police, but I'm yet to see any condemnation from Tower Hamlets Labour regarding this unacceptable behaviour from someone allegedly supporting one of their candidates. @THLDs @UKLabour @thisisyourparty @wappingyouthfc @WappingLibDems @wapping_market @WappingLondon @ELAdvertiser @bbcbangla @LBC @TheTurksHeadE1W @WappingMarket @TH2GETHER @elondonnews @themuslimvoteuk @TH_Labour @MPSStepneyGreen @metpoliceuk @TheGreenParty

Another leafleting and door-knocking session in St Katharine's & Wapping. Residents welcomed the Mayor and Aspire party's policy extending free swimming to men over 35 and reinstating the facility for parents of any age swimming with their children – a service previously cut by Labour. This initiative has clearly resonated with local residents, contributing to growing support for Aspire. @LutfurRahmanTH @WappingLondon @wappingyouthfc #towerhamlets #wapping @elondonnews @elondonnews

Aspire's people-centric budget, prioritising the needs of local residents, has been successfully approved. The Aspire St Katharine's & Wapping team is delighted with this outcome and happy to share this success with our residents. This is a tragic loss for Bangladesh, and it's appalling that a courageous protester, youth leader Sharif Osman Hadi was brutally shot in the head. His untimely death demands accountability, and it's imperative that those responsible are brought to justice. May Allah forgive him and accept his sacrifice for the fight he led for justice. May he be granted the highest rank in Jannah. #SharifOsmanHadi #Hadi #BangladeshCrisis #BangladeshViolence #bangladeshihindu

Instead of holding Tony Blair accountable for war crimes, it's appalling that he's being appointed to a Gaza peace board. The hypocrisy is staggering. @LBC @UKParliament #GazaPeacePlan #GazaGenocide‌ #GazaSystematicsStarvation #PalestineWillBeFree

Two different stories are emerging about who raised the graffiti issue at the Globe Town cultural centre. @CllrRebaka claims she brought it to the council's attention, resulting in its removal, in one Facebook post, while Cllr @shafiahmed4cllr credits Cllr Ahmodul Kabir in another. Who actually raised the issue? 😂 @TowerHamletsNow @TowerHamlets #towerhamlets @THLDs @EastEndEnquirer @banglanews24com
