Good luck to everyone in Stratford and Bow, Newham and Tower Hamlets receiving their A-Level, T-Level, BTEC and other results today!
If results aren’t what you expected – don’t worry there’s still plenty of opportunities ahead.
Whatever your next steps – university, work, apprenticeships or something else - be proud of how far you’ve come.
Wishing you all the very best.
STATEMENT ON BRICK LANE DATA CENTRE:
Two weeks ago, the government approved plans for offices, homes and a data centre on Brick Lane - overturning the unanimous rejection by Tower Hamlets councillors of all parties, including Labour, at committee in July 2025.
The proposed site alone would draw as much power as thousands of homes. Even within central London, there are far more appropriate locations than a street at the heart of a residential community in Spitalfields & Banglatown.
Nine blocks. Hundreds of residents without reliable water for the best part of a year, and the landlord has known since December.
Fifteen litres of bottled water doesn't go far when one flush needs five. This needs fixing properly, not managed with deliveries and delay.

Decades of decline have left our high streets unrecognisable.
