Added Dr. to my Twitter name today. Always felt I shouldn’t because I’d been married to a “real” doctor (orthopedic surgeon). So I was just the “paper Dr.” But I worked 3 jobs to put him through medical school WHILE getting my Ph.D. and having our 2 kids. So #ImmodestWomen it is.

FINED FOR TRIBAL TAGS: A woman who lives just north of Enid says she was pulled over Tuesday for speeding. An @OHPtraffic Trooper not only ticketed her for speeding, but for also having tribal tags. Her tags though - good through Sept. 2024. @kfor 🧵

How bizarre. Gov. Stitt’s view of family seems to be quite narrow, especially with his focus on marriage. Families today look very diverse, whether it’s grandparents raising grandkids, or former couples co-parenting. Also, not every “family” unit involves children.
Gov. Kevin Stitt (R-OK), before signing a proclamation declaring November “Family Month” in Oklahoma:
“Studies show that married men, ages 18 to 55, are twice as happy compared to their single peers. But today, unfortunately, we're seeing fewer and fewer people get married.”

I’ve grew up in OK and the only time we have an OK standard is when people have a 🌪️ level their homes. The societal, quality of life statistics show how much that standard really is a facade. We can’t only care for people in natural disasters…we are a better people that that.
