Friday: a merchant asked if they could merch a collection page differently based on which hero carousel slide a shopper clicked. Today: shipped. Any Layers condition can now use theme clicks. Pick a Shopify theme → template → section → even a single button group.

Do you know how much money we'd save if @ShopifyDevs just exposed the suggest category metafields via API? A LOT, approaching 100b token usage simply on classifying and filling out native category metafields, we're dogfooding them now and using across the platform

I cannot wait to rip this apart with Lukas. I didn’t have a great deal of hope until I saw TTFB being measured. If you know me you know that many theme TFFB is horrible and far more impactful than the bazillion apps a storefront runs shopify.dev/docs/storefronts…

Magento Community now we can use Postgres with #Magento Adapter. I made small performance test. Under heavy load, #MySQL hits a concurrency wall around 20k QPS. #PostgreSQL breaks this ceiling scaling linearly to over 30k QPS for a 50%+ throughput gain on the exact same hardware

I forked #Hyva and built #Hyba as a Next.js storefront dropping the legacy #Magento: .phtml templates, ViewModels, layout XML and none of Hyvä's extensibility limitations. To be honest, there was nothing to fork - Hyvä is just AlpineJS and Tailwind wired into the legacy Magento.

AI search shouldn’t be a black box. We just shipped a new view in Layers that shows merchants exactly how our models understand their products and Shopify data. One of my favorite examples is a charm product with 12 sports as variants. To Shopify, it’s one product. But a shopper looking for a basketball charm isn’t necessarily looking for lacrosse or tennis. Layers recognizes that and indexes each sport as its own item. You can now see those decisions directly in the dashboard, including which variants, tags, collections, and metafields Layers determined were actually relevant to the product. And if we get something wrong, merchants can flag it and send the product back through classification. Better AI search starts with actually understanding the catalog.

AI Composer is coming to Magento Page Builder this week! ✅ Clickable history to revert degradation ✅ AI chooser to switch to "better" model ☑️ Attachments to provide example For now history is not persisted between page reloads. I think it's not needed for real usage.

The biggest myth in the #Magento ecosystem is that you need to rip out Magento’s entire brilliant JavaScript architecture to get good performance. #Hyvä built a business on that myth. Thousands of merchants paid €1,000 for the free open-source Magento code fork to believe it.

Grok 4.3 is still an early beta that will improve almost every day, but try it out! We will publish release notes as we fix bugs and add functionality.
Grok 4.3 beta is natively multimodal, and the front-end capabilities are insane You can literally just upload a screenshot of any website you like, and Grok will instantly write the code to clone it for you with an cool UI You don't even need to write a complex prompt...just upload an image or describe what you want and let it build

Go (Golang) Roadmap for Backend Engineers, Who Want to Ship Fast: 1. Master the Basics : Syntax, variables, loops, functions, packages & modules 2. Understand Go’s Real Power : Structs, interfaces, composition & embedding 3. Master Pointers : Learn how they work, when to use them, and why they matter 4. Goroutines & Channels : The real reason people choose Go → master concurrency here 5. Error Handling : Learn proper error wrapping, custom errors & context 6. Build CLI Tools : Use → flag, cobra or urfave/cli, make something useful 7. Work with Data : Files, JSON, YAML, HTTP clients & basic APIs 8. Build REST APIs : Use Gin or Fiber + proper routing, middleware & validation 9. Advanced Concurrency : Worker pools, pipelines, fan-in/fan-out, rate limiting 10. Database Layer : PostgreSQL + GORM or sqlx + proper connection pooling 11. Testing & Quality : Unit tests, table tests, benchmarks & integration tests 12. Production Ready : Docker, logging, graceful shutdown, config management, observability Bonus Steps: - Read Go source code of popular packages - Build 3 real projects (Auth service, Background worker, Scraper) Stop just “learning Go” Follow this → become → production dangerous Save it. Follow it. Ship it. Who’s starting this journey in 2026?
