I've been working on my SBL paper this week for a joint session hosted by Hebrews and Matthew. I'm pleased with the direction it's gone. My current title:
“The Author Who 'Just Keeps Reading': The Supposed Recycling of 'Christian' Traditions in Hebrews"
Another fun Spooky Season episode from @TheTwoCities! Check it out.

The SBL promotion has started! My book is 40% off with free US shipping at ivpress.com/pain-and-paradox… with code IVP26SBL.
Yesterday I presented at the Logos Institute Research Seminar here at @divinitysta. More on messiahs, but this time considering the theological implications for my research on our christologies.
It was a great experience with so many people who are dear to me—including @jrrdodson who gets the photo credit. 😊
@pgziegler1 I’ll look forward to sharing some of this with you and answer your question from BNTS better!

I have no secret knowledge on this post, but I do love it here and would be happy to say more if the above fits you. buff.ly/yBzHUD0

So honoured to be part of this excellent volume.
After nearly 2.5 years, my friends Annalisa, Paulus, & I submitted our manuscript for this forthcoming edited volume with @eerdmansbooks! We’re so thankful for the 17 contributors & their excellent work! Amy-Jill Levine said the essays were “magnificent.” Look for it next year!
Just finished my first lecture of the year in "Bible through the Ages." Grateful to be starting my second year at @divinitysta and my ninth (!) year of full-time teaching.
This may be my favourite start to an article that I've ever seen. (The first paragraph is also the abstract!)

HT: @nathanaelvette (Thank you!)
Saturday marked one year since my ordination (and about one year since we left Michigan). It is such a privilege to serve God through my role at St Andrews. I am hopeful that this year also will hold more preaching and teaching as we continue to settle into our new context.
Super grateful to @BritishAcademy_ for funding a colleague and me to organize a “Writing Extravaganza”! Had a fun and productive day with colleagues from other nearby universities and other schools here at @univofstandrews.
I wrote two (rough) verses on my commentary. 🤓
We’re in something of a microclimate here. The weather is really isolated. I’m a mile from home on the bus, and I was complaining about walking from the stop because it’s absolutely POURING.
Husband says it’s not raining at all at home. 🤷🏼♀️
