Culture war bullshit is just a distraction from the real problems in the world anyways, and if you're so ignorant that you feel the need to shoehorn it into every hobby then you really need to reevaluate the meaning of your life.

Nothing in Vintage Story stays a “small building project” for long.
Korb starts with a new cellar, then gets to work preparing the land and resources for a much larger stable and inn.

Started drawing when I was a kid but poor self esteem mixed with having an "ugly" style and mediocre skills stopped me from doing much art. I was too scared of being bad and it stunted my growth a ton. But I still held on to the idea of doing art because I had stories to tell, OCs to make, and my own world to enjoy.
Once I stopped caring as much about being cringe, everything got easier. I'm in my 30s now and I've drawn the most in the last 5 years than I have the rest of my life. There's a lot of things I'm not great at, color theory is still rocket science, art is hard. But that's ok. And since gen AI has become more rampant, it's sorta pushed me further to learn and experiment and put more of myself into each piece, even if I make more mistakes in the process.
So yeah in this day and age, it's awesome to see others pick up art. Go at their own pace, as it's not really a race if your goal is to just enjoy art and make cool things. Cuz no matter how much gen AI improves, it will never have the soul, the self-discovery, the "happy little accidents" that a human-made piece has.
tldr embrace cringe, be human, have fun
As for resources- I cannot stress enough that the most important part of art is that you *have fun*. That said here are some useful stuff:
Anatomy/figures - Stan Prokopenko vids, Andrew Loomis books for traditional figure drawing, Morpho books
Framing / composition - Framed Ink by Marcos Mateu-Mestre
Comics - Understading Comics by Scott McCloud
Gestures + Movement - Force by Michael Mattesi
Color Theory - Color and Light by James Gurney
Frame-by-frame animation - The Animator's Survival Kit by Richard Williams

I know a lot of larger artists or artists in general follow, maybe if you could talk about how much practice you have done or how much it took to get you started and maybe some resources?
I know for me im not a good artist, but on most days I still make 5-10 minutes to doodle and that helps me! I look at a lot of older pin up art to learn from like dean yeagle, tim bruce, scott j campbell ect and use that to learn from on how they draw shapes out.

Loving someone doesn't always need to make sense, or be loud.
We meet people throughout our life who affect us in profound ways. They sometimes unknowingly reach deep within our souls and bring us closer to ourselves.
Let yourself love, even if it has to be silent.
