Four bare metal beauties from days gone by. All beautifully preserved but just look at that Hustler!

Did you deploy with the AAC to the Balkans? Whatever colour the aircraft were painted, whichever letters were on the fuselage we are interested in your experience. Bosnia, Croatia, Macedonia or Kosovo...they all count. Email us at opsnormal1957@gmail.com

Couple of images from a frustrating day at Heathrow on Sunday but there were some mega skies around when the sun did find a gap.

Legend.
3 December 1945. First purely jet-powered aeroplane to operate from an aircraft carrier was a de Havilland Sea Vampire piloted by Eric Melrose "Winkle" Brown from HMS Ocean.

On December 1, 2001, the final Trans World Airlines (TWA) flight departed from Kansas City, Missouri and landed in St. Louis, Missouri. Originally formed as Transcontinental & Western Air in 1930, TWA was one of the oldest airlines in the US. What is your favorite TWA memory?

A little glary but look at the colour scheme on the @GDF's new @LDO_Aircraft ATR-72 P-72B patrol aircraft. One that definitely needs to get in front of the camera lens.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them...
Today and Monday are a time to remember those who died in the service of their country. These two images sum up those that are closest to my heart. The 55,573 of Bomber Command and the 10 aboard RAF Hercules XV179 lost in Iraq on 30 Jan 05. Lest We Forget. We Will Remember Them.

This is some beautiful madness right here.
This is a great use of time-lapse:
What! Had no idea.
Did you know that there was a US carrier that ordered & operated #Concorde in the #USA? Braniff operated a service between IAD & DFW with their own crews. The aircraft were on the N registration for these sectors & were an extension of the BA & AF services #AvGeek #MondayMorning
