Interventional cardiology is largely a cognitive specialty rather than a technical one. Can’t have one without the other.
I don’t always agree with posts by @georgetolisjr, but this is correct.
Much of surgery is technical.
But often, the cognitive part and decision making is the difference between life and death.

If there is a single thing I can add to the universe coming out of this illness, it is to build something that helps caregivers.
It's simply not possible for caregivers to "take care of themselves" if there is no infrastructure to rely on.

With much research I did for this podcast, I came to realize that they’re self-appointed and the sole authority in the USA to decide on MD competence. In convincing payers & hospitals w such, they created a market where they have no competition.

I would do exactly the same - until my old boss said that as my star had risen in practice, his star had fallen in retirement & he didn't feel like there was anything he could add....

STOLEN PASSPORT: My black @Targus backpack was stolen in @CreveCoeurMO. The thief probably stole it for a laptop or something worth some money, but unfortunately it contained something priceless: a black pouch with my passport, visa approval and social security card.
