Total lack of understanding re: S&C. Sad when it turns back to “what we did back in the day”.

I’m glad we’re seeing more of this. Too much focus on “form” without having proper structural function first won’t allow an athlete to train at their full potential.

Punishment pushups, poles and whatever are a waste of time (yours too) and make your players worse. It’s lazy.

Wanna reduce UCL risks and have a more consistent ball release/tunneling?
We found that you increase your odds of NOT having a UCL surgery by 98.3% if you can r. lunge 1.5x bw. Having that level of stability and controlled lower half makes tunneling much easier.
It’s sad. Coaches are in charge, and may even be driving this situation. Collaboration between coaches, players, trainers and doctors would be much more productive than keeping everyone isolated and in the dark. It helps no one.

This is spot on. Arm care isn’t arm care if you’re doing it wrong.
Posterior pelvic tilt increases lower trap activation. Just a friendly reminder to all the college baseball players doing ugly band routines this weekend; control your core! It should look like the one on the left. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3082…

You're not a warrior.
Or a spartan.
Or an animal.
You lift weights for health, & hobby.
The gym isn't a war zone.
Getting bigger, stronger, or leaner doesn't teach you self-actualization. It teaches you how to get big, strong, or lean.
"A" for enthusiasm, but keep it real.
#beastmode can cost you some serious cash. You’ll may also have to deal with re-earning what you’ve already earned. Considering today’s workout sets up tomorrow’s workout, if you’re not competing for something, it’s hard to justify overreaching all the time.
