Loneliness is not just a feeling; it affects our physical and mental well-being, impacting our entire community. Through countless conversations, I've witnessed its effects firsthand in San Mateo County. Inspired by leaders like the U.S. Surgeon General and Peninsula Family Service, we're taking action. Partnering with Peninsula Family Service and UCSF, we're crafting the Loneliness Awareness and Solutions Initiative. Together, we'll pioneer programs and research to overcome loneliness, with the aim of creating a model for others to follow nationwide. Stay tuned for updates on our journey to make meaningful change. #LonelinessAwareness
