Now at 48 days and still waiting for a refund from @qatarairways
@qa
On 11 March Qatar Airways cancelled my return flights from NZ to UK. It's over 28 working days now and I'm still waiting for a refund. A lot of money to be out of pocket π
They have blocked all ways to contact them... Awful service.

Had a pleasant hour yesterday, photographing the Bank voles that live in our drystone walling. We have a deal, he gets sunflower hearts, I take the pictures.

1/ After 14 years the time has come to leave X.
Elon Musk is a morally repugnant, white supremacist, & apologist for misogyny and paedofilia.
Alongside many moments that have brought me friendship and joy, X enables the spread of terrorist, hateful, sexist and disgusting views..

I'll leave this post up a couple of days before deactivating my account.
Farewell to those of you who have been a positive part of my time here! π«‘

Thank you Serian Ganesh on Facebook for this rather acquatic #FoxOfTheDay !
Happy New Year π₯³
All signs point to 2026 being a great year - I made this pretty dress, and I've won a research scholarship from the Gerda Henkel foundation, which I'll begin in April π₯³π₯

1915 - a wounded soldier carries a Christmas Tree home to his family in Chelsea, London. I've cleaned-up this wonderfully poignant photograph captured 110 years ago. Merry Christmas to all. π

Given our timelines are full of unlikable and irrelevant 'Boxers' thought you might appreciate a timeline cleanser

Oh look, it rained.
Areas of the country where water companies are currently dumped sh*t into rivers and on to beaches.
Brown, currently dumping sewage.
Red, has been dumping sewage within the last 24 hours.

We pause today to remember Lance Corporal George Hooley as he returned home to the UK.
Before his passing, Lance Corporal Hooley wrote a letter to his family and friends to be opened in the event of his death. At their request, we now share his words with you.
Our thoughts remain with his family, friends and colleagues. May his words bring comfort to all who read them.
ALT The coffin of Lance Corporal George Hooley returns home to the UK.
ALT Extract from George's personal letter home, shared at the request of his family. 'If you're reading this, it means I didn't make it home. Please don't let that be the thing that breaks you. You know I was doing what I believed in as well as loved, with people I respected, and for reasons that mattered to me, my country and democracy and freedom in this world. I was proud of what I was doing. Don't remember me with sadness and loss. Be proud. I went out doing what I trained to do, what I chose to do, and I had all of you in my heart the whole way'.
Two days in a row, my You Tube has featured ads paid for by Gallaher offering free nicotine pouches. Both days Google agreed the ad should be banned.
How is this acceptable? Tobacco companies always find ways to weasel around restrictions...

What surprised me most about this article is learning UK law only allows one unpaid 20 min break for every six hours worked π¨π¨
Come on, UK... It's 2025!
