Veterans who left their service before December 2018 can now apply for the Veteran Card. Defence minster @AWMurrison met with some Veterans who’ve already applied to talk about their experience and what it means to them.

Today, the Met’s officers, staff and volunteers remember the millions murdered in the Holocaust and in the genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.
We recommit ourselves to tackling hate and discrimination wherever we find it.

Joining @JewishPoliceAs event marking @HMD_UK #HolocaustMemorialDay. Learning lessons from the past for a better future. Immensely impressive agenda with lots to learn.
Tonight, five years ago, I patrolled with PC Clayton-Drabble on what was to be his final shift. He was kind and professional towards everyone we met that night, in the very best traditions of @ThamesVP. Thinking of Dan, his family and his friends tonight. #RestInPeace
Police Constable Daniel Clayton-Drabble tragically died from fatal injuries which he sustained in a single-vehicle collision whilst travelling home after finishing night duty.

Joined force daily management meeting as #DutyGold; clear we have hard working teams focused on keeping public safe! Thanks to @CCJasonHogg for joining the call, thanking our people working today. Been busy already, supporting @TVP_Oxford with a POPS callout (now safely resolved)
My thanks as #DutyGold to the officers and staff who worked the Reading v Oxford @TVP_Football fixture on Tuesday, and to the command team led by Supt Barnham as Silver for their comprehensive plan and leadership.

It's @WeCops Wednesday! Hope you can join us for tonight's chat on contact management & dispatch with @ACCHerts & @DanielRIvey at 9pm on both X and LinkedIn.
Very exiting to have two super 🌟 hosts next week for our ‘Dispatch’ chat 👏 join us!
Here’s the pre read 👇
This chat will be co-chaired by @ACCHerts of Hertfordshire Constabulary and the National Lead for Contact Management and @DanielRIvey who leads Command and Control in the Metropolitan Police. The chat will take place on the 13th of December between 9pm – 10pm. There are due to be three questions posed to encourage discussions around the functions of Dispatch, the challenges, and the relationship between Dispatch and officers on the ground. We hope that these discussions will help shape how Command and Control functions are carried out in the Met and further afield.
Busy evening. Have managed to fit in a brief stop at @JewishPoliceAs #Chanukah event @metpoliceuk, celebrating 6th night with friends, colleagues and partners, hearing from communities attending of their thanks and challenges. Good to catch up with members from across UK!
📸 | Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley welcomed officers, staff and community partners to New Scotland Yard this evening to celebrate Hanukkah.
The night featured speeches which touched on the importance of Hanukkah and ended with a ceremonial candle lighting.
Great to spend evening at the Hertfordshire Jewish Police Association event, celebrating the 5th night of #Chanukah with wonderful (and talented!) colleagues from @HertsPolice. Doughnuts & chocolate gelt enjoyed by all. Fabulous support from the force. Thank you for the invite!
Honoured to attend the @ChabadMk @BletchleyPark event this evening with colleagues from @tvp_mk, engaging with our Jewish community, celebrating the fourth night of #Hannukah. Good to talk with some attending about @TVPcareers options! joiningthepolice.co.uk/suppo… @JewishPoliceAs.
Has been wonderful today to spend some time engaging with our @tvp_mk Milton Keynes Jewish community, celebrating the fourth night of #Hannukah #FestivalOfLights.

Living with a loved one who works in policing can be tough. Our families face daily challenges that we don’t always see and it’s vital we thank them, for all they do. We’re here to help police forces across the UK acknowledge the vital support of families and loved ones 🎬👇
Hanukkah Sameach to our friends, communities and Jewish workforce! @JewishPoliceAs

With members across UK policing, welfare & wellbeing is so very important to us. We have heard from our members with fortnightly listening circles & our survey, developing understanding of where more support is needed. We have met senior leaders to share this & next steps 1/3.
