Thanks to everyone that has supported this far, please continue to advocate for this ordinance to pass when it comes back Tuesday, April 11th! Feel free to email me with any questions, thoughts, or suggestions surrounding the ordinance!! Michalyn.easter-thomas@memphistn.gov 3/3

I never want to be in a willing position to pass an ordinance that is not understoodor has a claim to be so ambiguous that it can’t be followed. You elected us to do things the right way. The final reading will include some adjustments to verbiage and traffic code references 2/3

At this afternoon’s Memphis City Council meeting, I will be holding our Driver Equality Act- Memphis public safety ordinance on the third reading. Councilwoman Rhonda Logan and I want to ensure that this ordinance exhibits clarity, enforceability, and of course equity. 1/3

My heart and mind are with the family and friends of Mr. Tyre Nichols. My proposed actions will help amplify the conversation around effective solutions. We should never, ever face this again. #justicefortyrenichols instagram.com/p/CoDsXb_PyAD/…

I’m livid now. #JusticeforTyreNichols

We have an obligation to get it right THIS time so there won’t be a NEXT time. #justicefortyrenichols instagram.com/p/Cn570-ptjgy/…

I don’t have to watch the footage to know who’s in the wrong and who isn’t alive to tell his side of the story. #JusticeforTyreNichols
