An exciting session starting now on Critical Care and the Pregnant Patient. To start, Dr @SteveCantellow talking about management on the ICU and the pragmatic approach to managing these women. Also discussing safe transfer of these women. #maternalcriticalcare

Fantastic support for @YHMEaCC from Bradford maternity colleagues. Great to see EMC training well established, MEaCC data underpinning changes in clinical care and women’s experience of EMC taken into account. Working together to improve maternity care 👌

Y&H MEaCC data suggests that 45% of the women requiring EMC in the region have non-white ethnicity. Early days with 156 women currently entered but a worrying trend that needs attention @TeamCMidO @matthewcjolly @anitaobsmed @noolslucas @stephen_t_webb

Heard on Friday that we now have data sharing agreements in place for every maternity unit in Y&H! Already have EMC data for 101 women submitted via the electronic data portal. First steps on the road to risk prediction for sick women. Anyone from outside Y&H want to join?
Great meetings with @AiredaleNHSFT @DBH_NHSFT @RotherhamNHS_FT maternity units this week adding to those previously with @HullHospitals @HarrogateNHSFT @NHSNLaG @barnshospital Looking forward to having you all on board supporting the YHMEaCC Project data collection 👌

Next step is data collection for sick women outside critical care eg labour ward. Without data we will struggle to improve outcomes for these women and babies. All Y&H units now signed up with interest from other regions growing. @YHMEaCC @drtraceyc @TeamCMidO @matthewcjolly

Thanks @WilkoAnaesICM. Data for nearly 60 women receiving EMC or critical care has been entered by Y&H maternity units via the data portal since we went live recently. Any maternity units outside Y&H also interested in contributing data? @anitaobsmed @noolslucas @CranfieldKatie
Thank you to everyone who has started collecting data for #MEaCC #Maternal #Enhanced and #CriticalCare - this represents a real opportunity to improve the care received by unwell pregnant and recently pregnant women. @BTHFT @CHFTNHS @SheffieldHosp @LeedsHospitals @HarrogateNHSFT
