But a military intervention [in Venezuela] would not solve these problems, nor would it stem the tide of fentanyl arriving in the US. It would, however, almost certainly make them worse. montgomery.lpo.org/2025/11/0…

The Ohio Redistricting Commission has adopted another ridiculous map. Districts 1, 7, 9 and 15 are just outrageous. What a bunch of clowns. If @OHDems can't even fight for maps they consider "fair" when their political gravy train is on the line, how can anyone take them seriously on matters we know they don't care about?

protecting the city or reducing violent crime, National Guardsmen have been reduced to garbage collectors. “This has nothing to do with protecting citizens of Ohio and is purely a political stunt engaging in the current tribal ‘thing’, and to appeal to an ego,”

This is also a matter of private property and individual liberty. “I’m not sure who was harmed in this situation, causing the city to interject itself into the private lives and property of its citizens,” said @joshumbaugh, Chair of the Libertarian Party of Montgomery County.

@MCOhioLP is calling on the @Kettering_OH City Council to respect the rights of residents who keep backyard hens as pets and to allow these families to continue their responsible care.
Stand up for the Combs family’s right to keep their pet chickens! Todd Combs, a combat veteran, and his family in Kettering, Ohio, have beloved pet chickens. These chickens are not for food production, they’re cherished companions that bring joy and comfort to the family, especially since they can’t have traditional pets like dogs or cats due to allergies. The City of Kettering is trying to force them to remove their pet chickens, citing a zoning violation, but the ordinance actually permits "pet fowl," which the Combs' chickens clearly are, and there is no ordinance that prohibits chickens as pets. This case is about human respect—respecting the rights of individuals to keep pets that enhance their well-being, without unnecessary restrictions or arbitrary interpretations of vague codes. We need your help to support the Combs family and ensure they can keep their pet chickens. The link in the next thread has all the details on how you can help!

“Seems like there could be more important issues for the city to focus on.” We call for the City of Kettering to stop harassing the Combs and to recognize their hens for what they are: cherished family pets. Be decent, be neighborly, and let peaceful people live in peace.
