💯#OnThisDay in 1925, the South Stand was officially opened by Football League president Mr John McKenna at the first game of the season against Middlesbrough. #Pompey lost 5-1. Designed by Archibald Leitch, work began on 17th June and was completed in 10 weeks. #PompeyHistory

I’ve gone rouge with my match day pompey shirt! Cheap Nike top £16, I recreate my favourite logo from the 80’s (with a few little tweaks like 1898) & heat pressed it on……I like it!?

I have absolutely zero interest in who other clubs are looking to sign. All these tweets and pods talking about it are Sky Sports lapdogs. Nobody cares. Tell us day before first game and let us think about it then. Football manager computer games have ruined everything.

Remembering when Paul Warhurst turned into a goal machine in 1993 and forced himself into the top scorers’ chart. Meanwhile just the FORTY goals for Guy Whittingham by April… (👍🎥 @grim_fandango)

I had a surreal experience. Emotional even. I spent the whole day taking down the lovely perspex plaques of all the League-tables since time almost immemorial (at the old @FootballMuseum Preston) ...I was left wondering which clubs would go on, the many years & seasons to come

This era of football is out of control. It will be looked at with as much validity as the wartime matches were. They have taken the greatest spectacle on the planet & made it a dreary bureaucratic bore. This is not football. It is the corporate packaging of football. It is crap.
