In a 5-aside line up of Harvey Blair, Tony Blair, Cherie Blair, Lionel Blair and Blair from failed 90s soap Eldorado, Harvey Blair would be picked last and made to go in goal. That’s his level of talent and application as a footballer. #Pompey #Honking.

Looking forward to telling the story of how Fratton Park came about and how she’s evolved over the years. #Pompey

Until today, despite many many reasons to do so, I’ve only seen salt water exit my eyes at Fratton Park once. That playoff semi v Leicester in 1993. Truly gutting. It happened again today in respect of our ‘keeper. So much part of my formative years. God bless you Alan Knight.

In 1994 Alan Knight had been #Pompey’s 1st choice goalkeeper for more than a decade. I was 19. Pompey had hardly played a match in my living memory without Alan in goal. When picking my 6 numbers for the first ever National Lottery, the first number I picked was 1 - Alan Knight.

How apt. This popped up on my Facebook memories today, from 9 years ago. Me lamenting #Pompey’s £1.2m fan funded training ground being handed over to Eisner for gratis. A training ground Eric Eisner claimed in the BBC interview we didn’t have when they took over. 🙄

Finally got around to listening to #mrandrewmoon’s interview with #Pompey owner Michael Eisner (ME) and Eric Eisner (EE). Interview available on BBC Sounds. This is a thread of my thoughts to some of the things they said… 1/14

ME: “We don’t want to be in a construction zone we don’t want to break something that’s not broken.” Absolutely no intention of giving us the ground capacity we deserve. Every other club gets it, but not us due to shit owners past & present. 13/14

So to sum up, 9 years in, we’re no closer to getting a decent capacity increase and not likely to happen “anytime soon”. Better start preparations for the north stand centenary celebrations in 2035. End 14/14
