I often say that each platform only has one homepage and thousands of artists to feature. It is an impossible task. Curated sections and gallery-style presentations are essential because they help counterbalance the logic of social media algorithms. That said, I strongly believe artists from the Global South deserve more sustained visibility and recognition on the global stage. We often celebrate the decentralization of technology, but the decentralization of the market has not really followed. In practice, artists from Western countries are still amplified more easily by platform algorithms, while artists from South America, Africa, or Asia are too often treated as “exotic” and pushed further down social feeds. There are many artists I would love to see highlighted more consistently. @hypereikon is a brilliant duo working with AI and organic forms, whose practice has evolved through collaborations and large-scale music festivals. @HeliodoroSantos, from Mexico, developed a generative project with the Museo de Arte Popular of Buenos Aires based on Martín Fierro, one of Argentina’s most important poems. @MABLABART are two sisters from Kazakhstan with backgrounds in art and architecture, creating works that combine topography, mapping, and spatial thinking. Finally, I would encourage collectors not to sleep on quantum art. While blockchain and AI dominate most conversations today, some artists are already experimenting with quantum technologies. @horomox is one of them. If you want to stay ahead of the curve, this is worth your attention.
