Just a reminder that even Rose Kimanzi who was gang raped by policeman in a police station has not yet been given an OB even after writing to IPOA or DCI.
One of the things we teach children is where to go when they are afraid If you get lost find a police officer If something happens find an adult If you need help tell someone We teach our children to look for adults because we believe adults are supposed to be their safety net

Milk is at 80 ksh now. Petrol is at 228 Ksh Diesel is at 229 ksh Eggs are at 20 bob each. Basically, the highest cost of living since Independence. And still kuna mtu anasema eti Tutam wakikuyu wateseke. Fortunately, Inflation doesn’t know tribe.

Everyone in Japan has a job in factories, etc. No one has been forced to give up their Land. This model you want to replicate in Kenya is not your model. It is a model of the multinational GMOs whose plan is to take over the African Landmass and dictate the seeds we grow. Dangerous neocolonialism....

I don't know what the powers that be globally expect from young people. Continued unrest is inevitable. You can't make it increasingly difficult for them to have dignified lives and opportunities and expect them to just sit there and do nothing.

It’s actually the other way round Mr. President. There is a reason the right to life and the fundamental freedoms come first in the Bill of Rights. More than anything else we want to live in a free and democratic country because in the dark of the grave where you put Rex Maasai and Albert Ojwang, you can’t see shiny things.
President William Ruto has declared that freedom and democracy are meaningless without development, sharpening the political debate with Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna over what Kenya needs ahead of the 2027 general election. Read the full story here: shorturl.at/rIhJz

The concern over tree felling in the Aberdare forest and other critical water towers goes beyond whether the trees are exotic or mature. It is about the future of these landscapes. Where is the corresponding urgency to restore degraded areas with indigenous tree species, support natural regeneration, and protect what remains? The public deserves to see the full picture: how much land is being harvested, how much is undergoing indigenous ecosystem restoration, and how successfully those areas are recovering especially whether the trees are surviving and the forest is regenerating. Seedling numbers alone cannot tell us that. Calling an area a commercial plantation should not place its future beyond question. Where these plantations occupy ecologically sensitive parts of our water towers, we need a funded plan to gradually restore native ecosystems, while supporting timber growing on suitable land elsewhere and protecting affected livelihoods. These catchments sustain rivers, farms, livelihoods and water supplies. The returns of which have way much more socio economic cost benefit to a wider public audience compared the returns from timber. Their management must put those functions first. We cannot keep postponing ecological recovery while treating timber harvesting as urgent.

Kenya does not have a pedophile pandemic, it has a longstanding bystander effect. If self proclaimed upstanding members of society stand by and watch criminals doing deplorable things long enough, those things become common place and more people become criminals.

It has never made sense to me why someone from a poor background would rise to the helm of leadership and not want to make life better for everyone. You fucking understand what it means to be poor. You know the struggle. You saw you parents hustle to feed, educate you. Fuck man.
