Spotted an autonomous vending vehicle returning to its garage after work and automatically recharging.😂
This is what real VC financing does for hardware startups. In Europe this one would still be stuck in bank loan paperwork.

What if robots don't need to see everything they manipulate?
Learning to feel the world through their own joints might be one of the more interesting paths toward general-purpose manipulation.
Every robot already carries contact sensors: its own joints. When a robot touches something, its joints drift slightly off their commands, and the encoders pick it up. Legged robots and humanoids already leverage this signal to walk blind - but is it enough for blind precise assembly?
We find that it is! Our policies can insert pegs, mesh gears, and thread nuts using only the robot's joint positions - no camera, no tactile, and no object poses. And the peg policy works zero-shot in the real world! 🧵

I think continuous, non-invasive measurement of physiological parameters is exactly the kind of problem flexible electronics should tackle. Real step forward for patient care.
Meet Teresa Gatti ( @trsgtt ), project coordinator for MORPHEUS, a Graphene Flagship project transforming patient monitoring with precise, non-invasive physiological measurements.

Deutschlands Industrie braucht bezahlbaren Strom.

New photorealistic simulations will help a lot with robotics development; its still hard to develop simulations of your tasks which represent the real world well
🚀 We’re thrilled to announce the release of Lucky Engine 2026.3! "The Matrix for Robots" is now 100% Agentic 🤖✨
To train autonomy, you need a "Matrix" a virtual playground where they can learn before touching the physical world.
Today, we are dropping Lucky Engine 2026.3, and we think that it redefines how synthetic environments are built.
• Real-time ray tracing & path tracing
• 100% agentic (AI agents fully control the engine)
• Upload a photo → instant data generation for your policies
• Graph-based procedural generation, AI generated determinism
• No Blender required. Here’s what’s inside 🧵 👇

George Allen called out an oversimplification in my previous post - and of course he's right! If you don't know him, he's one of the Greats of Geometry, currently working with @nTopology , and previously he worked on Parasolid too! So what does that mean in practice 👇

Making parts that have the machined finish exposed to the end user can be finicky. Customer really liked the way this one catches the light. The last shop was not providing an acceptable aesthetic.

If you can find something that lets you go all-in until you’re on the verge of passing out, you can push through almost anything. Those kinds of people don’t get swayed by external pressure and they don’t make excuses.
Whether AI is here or not doesn’t change a thing for them. Track down just two or three things you can obsess over at that level, and there’s simply no room left for dissatisfaction.
