I spoke to an international media outlet on behalf of our people on the significance of the Pope's visit to Cameroon and the #Ambazonian territory during this period of conflict and unrest. #AnglophoneCrisis #Bamenda #Ambazonia
Between 1959 - 1964, the Camerounian government massacred 450,000 of its own ppl—mostly Bamilékés—in a campaign of terror & repression. A state that slaughters its own citizens is a terrorist state.
Since 2016, Cameroun has attempted to replicate that same playbook in Ambazonia

Ambazonians, as you read this 2nd handwritten note from Oslo Gulag, let us once again reflect on the clarity, courage, &unwavering focus of Dr. Cho Ayaba—a leader who continues to guide our liberation struggle even from captivity. @NRC_Norway
Dear @Kripos_NCIS, Your attempts to dismantle the AGovC & assist Paul Biya, known worldwide for election thievery, have only exposed the corruption of Norwegian institutions. Dr. Cho's ongoing detention will not save the Biya-CPDM regime from Tchiroma’s liberation tsunami.

The corrupt Biya regime in Cameroon hunts its political opponents, enables Wagner’s illicit activities, and has created conditions for jihadist groups like Boko Haram and ISIS to thrive and fuel the Anglophone crisis. The regime has staged a sham re-election, and unlawfully detained Americans citizens, including those from Idaho. Cameroon is not a U.S. partner, and poses economic and security risks to the American people. It’s time to reassess this relationship before the blowback gets worse.

The Truth is Out: U.S. Senate Confirms Cameroon’s Crimes Against Ambazonia
The Ambazonia Governing Council (AGovC) welcomes the courageous statement from Senator Jim Risch, Chairman of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, who has finally spoken truth to power exposing Paul Biya’s corrupt regime as one that hunts its political opponents, enables Wagner’s illicit activities, and fuels jihadist groups like Boko Haram and ISIS while staging sham elections and unlawfully detaining U.S. citizens.
For decades, Cameroon has deceived the international community with propaganda portraying itself as a “stable democracy,” while in reality, it has carried out a brutal colonial occupation of Ambazonia since 1961 burning down villages, executing civilians, and silencing every voice that dares to demand freedom.
The AGovC echoes Senator Risch’s assertion that Cameroon is not a U.S. partner but a threat to regional peace and global security. The world must now confront the truth: Cameroon’s crimes extend beyond its borders, targeting activists abroad and weaponizing diplomacy to cover up genocide in Ambazonia.
We call on the U.S. Senate, the House of Representatives, and all democratic institutions to investigate Cameroon’s transnational repression, hold the regime accountable for war crimes, and push for a negotiated settlement between Ambazonia and Cameroon under neutral international supervision.
The people of Ambazonia will continue to resist occupation and exercise their lawful right to self-defense until Cameroon withdraws its forces.
Norway—Stop Protecting Genociders! Ambazonia—Stand Up and Defend Your Homeland!
We hope you are watching, ICC, we hope you are watching and preparing your case against Cameroun.

Tchiroma is not our future. He is the tool we use to take it back.
Picture a house that belongs to a family. For generations they lived in it, but it was seized by sophisticated thieves. They built and repaired only what made their looting easier. They never cared for the family, only for their spoils. That house is our country. That family is us.
We fought. We bled. Too many died. And when the sophisticated thieves finally handed us the keys, they also picked the man who would hold them for us. Ahidjo, the first housemaster, kept the place tidy enough. The floors were swept, the façade freshly painted. But he was never our housemaster. His loyalty was to the system of the thieves, not to us.
When he decided to step down, did we get to choose who came next? Of course not. He picked his own replacement. At first we thought maybe this new housemaster would be different. Maybe he would open the doors and let the real owners back into their house. Instead, he settled in like the house was his personal inheritance. He rewrote the house rules, locked the doors to other rooms, and barred us from even speaking with anyone who might replace him. He bribed family members with little crumbs so they would cheer for his reign. The house fell to disrepair, but as long as his seat was secure, he was satisfied.
We tried the “proper” route. We studied CVs, debated programs, and put forward serious, competent family members for the job. Every time, the housemaster slammed the door shut. The door was never really open.
No one outside understands how we could have allowed our own house to be stolen from us for so long without forcing it back. The truth is simpler and heavier. We have never known what it feels like to choose our own housemaster. We have never tasted that power. Without the power to choose, we were pushed into living like strangers in our own house, surviving on what the housemaster allowed, never on what was truly ours.
Once, we almost threw him out. 1992. Different family factions came together and agreed on one brother. Not the flashiest, not the smartest, but the one who could unite enough of us to finally get rid of the housemaster. We won. But he twisted the rules, bent the process, and declared himself the victor. It was not force this time. It was cunning. And we were too busy celebrating our triumph to prepare for the fight that was needed to defend it. We let it slip away.
After that, the housemaster filled every corner of the house with people whose only job was to keep him in place. He turned our home into his fortress. Slowly, we began to act like tenants in our own house. Some traded dignity for the small comforts he handed out. The rest were left begging for what was always their birthright.
And then there were the thugs. His enforcers. Men who knew exactly how to justify brutality while polishing his image. The most skilled of them all? Issa Tchiroma. He became the chief apologist, the man who denied the indefensible, justified the unforgivable, and defended every abuse that kept us locked out of our own house.
Now he wants to be housemaster himself. For most of us, the reaction was bone deep disgust: You, of all people? Never! After years of shielding the housemaster and dismissing our pain, you think we would choose you to lead the fight to recover the keys you helped keep from us?
And yet here we are. The younger candidates carry solid CVs and clean hands. But they are builders, not brutes. Their role comes after the locks are broken. Let us be honest: this fight is not about ideas or CVs. It is not about who can manage the house best. It is about who can break open the locks, dismantle the tricks, and force open the doors that have kept us out for decades. For that job, the clean CVs do not stand a chance. Their time is later. Their task will be rebuilding.
This job is dirtier. It is gangster against gangster. As much as it goes against our instincts, as much as it disgusts us, Tchiroma is the one thug who knows the system well enough to help us bring it down. He knows the weak points because he stood on the inside. And let us not forget: he is old. He knows, and we know, that this is his last round. That makes him usable, but not permanent.
So we give him a contract. Three to five years. Non-renewable. Nothing more. Not as a leader, not as a visionary. As a mercenary, hired for one task: to break open the fortress and return the house to its real owners.
We are not naïve. A gangster does not wake up one morning and turn into a saint. The moment he has the keys he will look for ways to betray us. That is his nature. But we are not counting on him to change. We are counting on us to change. For the first time we would have chosen our own housemaster, and that act alone will mark a break in our history. If we succeed, something fundamental will shift. We will discover our power, and once a people knows its power, it never gives it back. That is the real safeguard. Not his promises, not his contract. Us. If we win, we will never again allow anyone, not even our own thug, to take that power away.
This is not the path we wanted. It is the path left to us. We tried everything families try in a normal house. We fought, we negotiated, we threatened, even tried to beat the housemaster at his own game. In a normal house, some of that would have worked. But this was never a normal house. Here, every attempt still led back to surrender. Too much blood has already been spilled by our parents, our brothers, our sisters, trying to reclaim this house. We cannot keep paying the rent in blood for a house that is already ours.
So we choose a harsh, calculated tactic, bitter to swallow but the only one left that can crack the fortress and put the keys back in the hands of their true owners.
It is not a choice we celebrate. But it is the choice we make. Tchiroma is not our future. He is only the mercenary we use to take our future back.

Notre sang a coulé.
