Do we want this to happen once on food, feed & strategic bioproducts ? The European Union is still an agriculture powerhouse, but for how long ? Securing a true agriculture sovereignty is an urgency, not dismantling the Common Agriculture Policy.

The single fund in the EU budget proposed by @vonderleyen allows to say one thing and its opposite : "en même temps" opportunities and budgetary cuts. Europe deserves better, predictability at least. #NRPP #CAP #Cohesion #ESF

The dilution of the Common Agriculture Policy in a single fund alongside Cohesion & Social policies is a trick to hide budgetary cuts. It would have severe consequences: less political accountability from 🇪🇺 institutions & more opacity. @europarl should not accept this.

It was very important to be in Warsaw today, standing side by side with Polish farmers, signing on behalf of @FarmEurope a common declaration for a strong, autonomous budget for the Common Agriculture Policy in the future 2028-2034 budget of the European Union, along with dozens of other organisations. Thank you @WierzbickiJerzy for the initiative and to Poland for the leadership in championing a positive, forward looking agenda for rural communities over the last six months during the presidency. This impetus will continue and be key in the coming months.

The announcement of an anti-subsidy investigation into electric vehicles coming from China by @vonderleyen only had a very short term impact on financial markets. Like for fake advanced biofuels coming from China, @EU_Commission will have to demonstrate a real willingness to guarantee a fair competition which is not yet the case, moving from tough words, to tough decisions and actions.
