I’ve never totally agreed that a proper draw or a fade don’t “cross the target line.” If you hit a draw that starts 12 yards right of the target and finishes 6 yards right of the target, that’s a *worse* shot than one that starts 7 yards right and finishes 2 yards left.

Big credit to EF for the changes he’s made to his golf swing. It’s often not easy or fast. The best students put in the time, even if it’s 5-10 mins/day, with focused practice. EF is one of those solid “Type 4” golfers who go about it the right way. Results speak for themselves!

Thanks to @A_M_Golf for hosting the @GearsSports Summit again — always a great time! Also good fun talking with Shaun and Mike for the podcast. I love what they’ve done to help golfers understand concepts and play better. Check it out here: youtu.be/Xoh5R-S51fI

@GearsSports' new “Hybrid” mode has gotten *really* good and offers superb accuracy with only a marked club, belt, and hat. I have a 14-camera setup and will be using Hybrid in many lessons in 2026 and beyond. Reach out if you’d like to #GetInGEARS (Hybrid or Classic!) today! – at Erie, PA

Do you use your arms incorrectly in the backswing? Probably! Here’s the simple, easy move that you can master to put the club in the right spot every time. Your arms elevate and you rotate the thumbs a little. That’s it. that’s the move. #PlayBetter

Here is a summary of all hole locations. It's not even close. Getting it down near the green is better to every single hole location by a lot, no matter how you look at it. If there are people telling you laying up is the play, show them this. If they still claim it's the play, at least you tried. 😀

Shameless bit of self promotion… I think y'all will really like this podcast with @iacas/@JaysonNickol/@TysonDeskins. Episodes are ≤ 20 minutes and this Episode 3 talks about our 6 Favorite Drills. If you'd like to shoot lower scores… subscribe and listen to @TheSpinAxis!
It's always a great day when an episode of @TheSpinAxis drops. 😀 This episode features a snake draft of our 6 Favorite Drills! Did yours make the list? What's your favorite? Share them with @TheSpinAxis and we'll do a listener follow-up episode some day! thespinaxis.com/ep3/

Where's your balance point? This is something you can check, in two minutes, right now or later at home tonight. No need to get to a range or indoor facility to get better at golf!
Golfers, you should probably be setting up with the weight toward the front of the arches of your feet (almost toward the balls of your feet). A brief 🧵 on this to explain why.

Nearly ten years ago we wrote “The Rule.” Proud of the fact that kids and pros and everyone else in golf continue to benefit from the information and guidance.

20+ foot deep bunkers are a pretty dark Shade of Grey! – at Milwaukee, WI
Very happy to have given a presentation at the @ASGCA’s annual meeting earlier today in Milwaukee. Quoted @AndyTFE, but the fairway on the 15th at SS Red is still narrower than most player’s Shot Zones. But I think you’d have liked the last several slides!

Thank you! Tough to believe it’s been nine years. We’ve heard so many things from so many players about how many shots they’ve shaved or how much more effective their practice has become. – at Erie, PA

Such a great book. It may be time for a reread now that my swing is at a point where my course management is becoming more important. I loved it the first time but I was such a mess mechanically that I couldn’t truly benefit from it.

Oh my. I just read this: "Putting may be one of the best parts of my game. Practice it WAY more than anything else (would be dumb not to - roughly ½ the strokes are with 13 clubs, and the other ½ are with that single club... makes a lot of sense to obsess practicing it).” 👎🏼 👎🏼 – at Erie, PA

This was NOT a test of skill but a test of luck/randomness. @Mission_Inn is not to blame, the @NCAA tournament committee who set these holes is. Round 3 was later canceled for unplayable course conditions. At one point, **7** groups were on the sixth hole, 5 waiting to tee off. – at Florida, USA
Shameful what the women competing in this year’s NCAA Division 3 championship are dealing with today. Watch this video.

What do we think of the proposed rollback? That it doesn’t really affect us. Golf strategy will remain largely the same. Coaching/instruction will not change. Very little of what we control (or teach others to control) changes. – at Erie, PA

Good to see Mike from @chasingscratch0 playing from the forward tees to help him break through a scoring barrier. You too should try it, as we recommend in Chapter 28: Pro Tips in Lowest Score Wins. – at Erie, PA
