Looking at some Rust wgpu/winit/Axum/tokio code and I feel like I've found the ugly/Java side of Rust, where everything is verbose and overcomplicated for no reason, except to please the type gods. It's just missing an AsyncLazyFactoryFactoryProxy to top it all off 🍒 🥮 🤦‍♀️

Adding more stuff to my CLAUDE.md to try and make Opus 5.5 make less awful design decisions 🤦‍♀️

Yeah I have a hard time believing how bad the design is in some places. Useless abstractions everywhere.

@valigo mini game engine in question: xitter.cf/Love2Code/status/21121…
Weekend project: mini 3D engine to render a cyberpunk-themed city using WebGL in the browser. It does 60fps on my Pixel 10, with ~1M polygons visible. Does per-pixel lighting and dynamic lights too :)

I'm trying to design a simple 3D engine with Claude Code right now and ho boy does it take some shortcuts. I still can't believe so many people are advocating for not reviewing the code.

Furthermore, the big tech barons are basically already above the law, they don't want democracy. They just want to control politics using lobbying and legalized bribery. So it's like, where do we really think that this is headed.

I had another scary thought the other day: AI is a tool for centralization of power. As in it's literally something you can use to increase the amount of control/leverage a single person or entity has. That tends to make it incompatible with democracy.

Genuine question: how do you make your C code safer, avoiding malloc and free everywhere? As someone who hasn't written that much C code.

Yeah. They're deriving enormous revenue and investment from our open source projects and other illegally sourced copyrighted materials and not compensating any of the authors for it... All while Dario threatens all white collar workers to take their jobs away.

The rocket model is invite only. I think Tesla knows just how dangerous it is and they probably want to make sure that only somewhat responsible people get it. They'll probably have people sign a contract to never use the rocket mode on public roads etc.

Sure thing. Please tag me if you do :) It's on the space_fighter branch branch: github.com/maximecb/plush/tr… git clone [email protected]:maximecb/plush.git cd plush git checkout space_fighter cargo run --release examples/space_fighter.psh

IIRC I was actually able to beat llama.cpp after this 😎

29 tokens per second on my Ryzen machie, about twice that on my MacBook Air because it has more memory bandwidth. Demo here: xitter.cf/Love2Code/status/20632…
I put together a minimalistic pure-Rust, CPU-only implementation of the recent LFM2.5-8B-A1B language model from @liquidai that you can directly link into your Rust projects😎 github.com/maximecb/bebelm

I would sign it too but it's not clear where/how.
