🌳 Rozmawialiśmy o ochronie drzew w Polsce, rosnącej świadomości społecznej i zaangażowaniu lokalnych społeczności w walkę o drzewa, a także o wyzwaniach i działaniach parlamentarnych, jakie należy podjąć by drzewa i lasy chronić jeszcze skuteczniej.
💚 Bardzo dziękuję za spotkanie oraz wyminę doświadczeń. Przed nami wciąż wiele do zrobienia w zakresie wzmacniania ochrony drzew.
Woohoo!! Looking forward to following every step of your journey Martin @treepilgrim

Brilliant resource!
In the UK alone there are about 650 beetle species from 53 families that are associated with deadwood.
There’s still masses to find out about the their lives, so get out there and start filling in the gaps.
Here's a handy guide to get you started:

In a few days we’ll hear if the #badgercull will start in Nottinghamshire. If it’s a yes, then the cull will start in September. We can’t let this happen. Join me and @Nottswildlife in writing to your MP. action.wildlifetrusts.org/pa…
There is something luxurious about sitting in the shade of a tree on days like these #keepingcool
"Renewal" means something very different to me. It should be about nature; building healthy ecosystems, extending and buffering fragile and irreplaceable habitats and constructing new wild spaces for wildlife and people to thrive... Not this:

Today I had the pleasure of meeting the Arbour Oak in Wollaton Park. We measured the reach of it's canopy at a whopping 21 meters from the trunk!
Wonderful to see tree hay in the making!

Every lost veteran tree is an ecological disaster.
And yet, for many trees, it takes relatively little effort and £ to secure their future.😔

Brilliant to take part in discussions about reshaping our local areas for future #economic, #climate & environmental resilience and how together we can respond locally to the #ClimateEmergency & biodiversity crisis, with the Lord Lt. of Notts, @WoodlandTrust, @NottsCC and others.
I visited Robin Hood's Larder today with @cornishca. A shadow of its former self with just the metal braces remaining now (such a sad loss!). I'm standing in the middle of the metal-work, where the tree once stood. An old photograph included for comparison.
