Well attended by racing community.
A small victory. Land sale not complete. Re-Zoning for a section of land (phase 1 - Manufacturing buildings) was passed w/ an amendment to not touch the track.
However….

Sportsman car driven by Floyd Powell. In 1961 this became the first car to go to Victory Lane at Augusta Speedway (the dirt 1/2-mile) which was constructed prior to the road course.

Hinchliffe Stadium, best know as a Negro League Baseball Stadium, was also the epicenter (Paterson, NJ) of the east coast’s Midget Car Racing boom. It was featured in season one of #LostSpeedways w/ @DaleJr on @peacockTV

MLB analyst and former All-Star Harold Reynolds is pushing for a “Field of Dreams”-style game at Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, New Jersey.
Hinchliffe is one of the last-standing Negro League ballparks.
The 10,000-seat stadium is undergoing a $94 million renovation project.
