After a spill in Saturday's second race at Churchill Downs led to Martin Garcia suffering six broken ribs, four cracked vertebrae and a punctured lung, the jockey is now home and recovering.

Got the trip I wanted. Second best. Looked like a winner around the turn until he saw the 7 and began to lean in and not want to go by. Good race.

Love his post, no speed on the outside of him, should get an opportunity to either be aggressive and cross or stalk and pressure. He put away two challengers on debut (including 4/5 fav) & he re-broke in deep stretch. Extra furlong should be 👍
