This is a great answer. It feels like the hatred for Ian's writing direction with Amy is overblown.
I don't think the fandom is ready to accept that Sega's mandate is to make Amy more of an adult growing up from having childlike qualities of her love to having boundaries now.
Listen, ya'll are free to criticize how they handled that. But I think some of the complaints I'm hearing are huge nitpicks compared to how far we really have come for Amy Rose's writing.
