Merry Christmas from Thailand

Judging by my last post on the lengthy and time consuming process it takes to renew your Athletics coaching badge I hope somebody in England athletics picks this up and starts to address this as I clearly am not on my own.

Trying to renew my coaching license with England Athletics, they want me to resit another course + full DBS (ok fine) the process is taking weeks. We clearly don’t have enough coaches in the sport and like myself choosing to volunteer my time for free surely will put people off.

For 20yrs I ate, slept and breathed athletics and appreciate everything it gave me. Today will be the first time since 2017 I’ve been in a big athletics stadium #emotional

Update on my relay run… I managed to tear my left groin after 20m and my right after 40m I still finished and felt like I was towing a caravan. We finished third and I over took a 11yr old that boosted my ego!

Just about to run my first race in 9yrs the parents relay! Wish me luck 😬😬

Can’t wait to attend the London Diamond League next weekend, it will be the first Athletics competition I’ve watched with my family since retiring 9yrs ago so please don’t disappoint!! @BritAthletics

Thanks to @Boro for hosting the Middlesbrough Town Cup where my son’s school team @macmillanschool were victorious in the year 8 final. Fantastic night at @RockliffeHall and the MFC training ground. Well done to all involved. 🙌⚽️🏆

Am I the only Boro fan happy to see Newcastle win like I’ve said time and again I want all the teams in the north east to do well.😬😬

Women’s sport lives on 🫡👌

Been meaning to catch up with you ⁦@RKilty1⁩

Merry Christmas you Filthy Animals.

Thanks to @FC_Hartlepool for welcoming my son’s team tonight, great match in a professional set up. @marton_fc @TeessideJunior #grassrootsfootball #goalkeeper #football #MartonRoyalsU13 #DadLife

Just about to purchase my first pair of tracksuit bottoms since 1999!!! #freebies gone why did I give so much of my kit away 🙈🤪

At least I will be able to hold my head high and say I fought for women’s sport unlike the thousands of ex sporting cowards.

I genuinely feel for these two boxers, but the fact is their genetic make up gives them an elevated level of testosterone that should mean there is no place for them to compete against women in women’s sport. The governing bodies need to sort this out.
