An 11-year-old, second-hand VW Beetle with more than 300,000km on the clock pulls over on Fofó the Clown Street in the heart of Vallecas. The music goes off, the Smiths silenced, and out gets Sergio Camello: movie aficionado with 156 films reviewed, part-time photographer, some-time drummer, Olympic gold medallist and the second top goalscorer in the whole of Europe. Through two years, Athlos’ vibes have been great. But a pro sports venture cannot survive on vibes alone. Athlos was meant to expand in 2026, but wound up cancelling its NYC event. A look at the state of the series ahead of today’s Athlos London meet: letsrun.com/news/2026/09/ath…

The javelin is an event that can only fully be appreciated when you see it in a stadium - but shots like this go a long way in showing that athleticism to viewers at home. Beautifully done.

30 years ago, Mikheil Kavelashvili scored on his Manchester City debut against Manchester United. Today, he is the disputed president of Georgia. We sent an email to see if he fancied a chat. Surprisingly, he did… Exclusive interview ⬇️ dailymail.com/sport/football…

Some are saying that Werro tripped herself -- we have seen an angle were it is clear that Burgoin's left hand makes contact with Werro's right foot, and in effect acts like a rugby tap-tackle

Nearly half done at these 27th @EuroAthletics Champs in B'ham, & frustrating to read folk drawing conclusions about possible crowds at the hoped-for London 2029 WCh, because of the number of empty seats here over recent days. We all know London will smash a WCh AGAIN!

It's good for a wider audience to see the bullshit you have to fend off to publish an investigative story in the UK. This letter is by turns wrong (cites appointments we now know Arday didn't have), emotionally manipulative (accuses the journo of being a racist) and menacing.
Why was the Jason Arday story broken by a racist blogger and not the mainstream press? Because Times Higher Education was intimidated off the story by a letter from notorious libel firm Carter-Ruck. I'm publishing the letter. Its central claim may be false.
