【#Tech24H】According to Engadget, #AI firm #OpenAI is moving into humanoid robot research and development. CEO Sam Altman has disclosed progress on the related project, which will focus on developing the #robot’s intelligent system as its core research direction. According to #Altman’s forecast, #OpenAI is expected to unveil an impressive demonstration prototype in 2027, but it will still take several years for humanoid robots to truly enter public practical application. At this stage, the project is still a long way from a finished commercial product, and information such as the specific content of the prototype demonstration, the robot's appearance, and the timeline of public experiential trials has not been disclosed. en.youth.cn/RightNow/202610/…

1/ The data network went dark. Not every phone went silent. In four days, Bitchat downloads in India jumped from 291 to 28,574 a day. Here's why that matters for the machines, too. 🧵

4/ Now apply that to robots, drones, and sensors. When the main network drops, they can relay commands and status to each other, keep working locally, and store messages until a link comes back. A person still makes the calls.
