Harsh truth nobody told you about success: Rent is due every single day. You never really make it. And coasting isn’t an option. Every single day, you have to fight to keep your seat at the table. Because the day you stop doing the work is the day things start to fall apart. There's an old saying that I love: Every morning in the savannah, the gazelle wakes up and knows it must outrun the lion or be killed. The lion wakes up and knows it must outrun the gazelle or starve. Whether you're the gazelle or the lion, when you wake up in the morning, you'd better start running. Rent is due daily. Pay it with pride.

Obsession is the only honest relationship with the infinite. Lukewarm souls produce a lukewarm god, and every man who ever moved mountains first had to be possessed by the vision of where those mountains belonged

i regret to inform you that personal growth rarely comes from acquiring new knowledge and almost always from: -getting humiliated -showing up terrified and doing it anyway -admitting you might be the problem

Meet Turhan Mildon: 29 years old, Turkish billionaire, and quite possibly the most efficient grifter of his generation. Most of us spend our twenties figuring out navigating roommates. He spent his collecting heads of state. Last month he married 42-year-old Alina Habba, Trump's former personal lawyer, in a reported $10 million wedding at the Waldorf Astoria. The guest list included Attorney General Todd Blanche, FBI Director Kash Patel, and White House Counsel Will Scharf. Normal crowd for a normal wedding between two normal people. How does a guy get there before 30? Easy. Follow the steps: Step 1: Marry into a Turkish family whose company built a mega-mosque for Erdogan. Get introduced by Erdogan to the president of Congo. Step 2: Become an adviser to Congo's president and pick up a Congolese diplomatic passport. As one does. Step 3: Head to Venezuela. Divorce. Get engaged to the daughter of a U.S.-sanctioned admiral close to Maduro. Land a contract running the country's state-owned cement plants. Step 4: Watch the U.S. capture Maduro in January. Learn the Trump administration reportedly weighed sanctioning you (his team calls that a "malicious rumor"). Lose the cement contract in June. Step 5: Meet Trump's former lawyer at the Kennedy Center. Plan a wedding in about 60 days. Invite the top law enforcement officials in America. Strategic? Romantic? Why not both. And the fun part: he's still trying to hang onto that Venezuelan cement deal. Totally unrelated, we're sure. Oh, and he's still only 29. Or 25, according to British corporate records. Either way, he's out-hustling everyone you know. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love apparently also comes with a diplomatic passport and a seat next to the FBI director.

Personal favourite👇 donellameadows.org/wp-conten… How I ate it: - Read it twice - Put it inside notebook llm to generate a podcast - Ask ChatGPT to explain the ideas to me like I’m a dummy PPS: I had prerequisite knowledge from reading “Thinking in systems” by Donella Meadows.

The evergreen resource - An Introduction to Distributed Systems by Kyle Kingsbury github.com/aphyr/distsys-cla…
For an impromptu discussion, the Google File System (GFS) came into the picture. And from there, I remembered this MIT course 6.824 Distributed Systems, where there is a lecture on it. Many folks have covered GFS in depth, but this course also provides an in-depth view of Distributed Systems in general. Recommend this if you are interested in this domain. nil.csail.mit.edu/6.824/2021… (Note: the site is HTTP though)

Here's another manifestation example. Imagine you have exactly 126.5k followers on Twitter or something. It's Wednesday and some guy cold DM's you with a bit about himself and a request to connect But because you get a lot of DM's it's hard to respond to every single one right away. So you ignore it for now and make a mental note to catch up on some of those missed DM's on Sunday when things are less hectic Then Saturday rolls around and you notice another DM come in from that same guy. He says "I know I'm just a small account with probably nothing to offer you" and "sorry if my first message was too long" In your mind you're thinking "no dude you're chill the message was fine I just didn't have time to respond" and then you start typing something to reassure him but end up backspacing it because you get the sense that this guy kind of lacks some self respect and you're not really interested in forming a relationship around that type of dynamic Message doesn't get responded to and guy comes up with the conclusion of "I knew it. Big account would never respond to a guy with 56 followers. These people only care about clout etc" Notice how his interpretation of the why was the complete opposite of yours. Yet both can be considered true There was an alternate reality where he simply had to do nothing after the first message and you would've responded just a few days later. But because of his subjective belief around what "not getting responded to within an arbitrary number of days" meant to him, that was what dictated what his next move was This is what "believing as if" means in manifestation. What if you believed you were the man? That the world would be stoked to know you? That you were already the ideal version of yourself? How would that naturally lead you to behave? What types of actions would you take? How many outcomes can you make real just by believing they were already real and letting your subconscious take care of the rest? Whoever you "want" to be, just embody that person right now. Move like them. Think like them. Be them so the physical reality can just bend to accommodate and align with your internal reality. You have full control over the world that exists in your mind. Everyone is delusional in how they interpret what's in front of them. Every interpretation is "true." So just choose your flavor of delusion
Imagine your parents told you that you had a secret trust fund today. Like they just randomly dropped that info on you out of nowhere. Reason being they've seen you working hard all these years and decided that now was the time to let you in on it You're shocked and try to inquire further about how much is in it and when you can access it etc. But all they say is don't worry. We hope this allows you to take more risk and be less afraid of failure so just keep going Huge sense of relief washes over you. You immediately start moving differently. Way more relaxed, confident, light on your feet. Pursuing goals and ventures without getting caught up in arbitrary timelines or bogged down by what ifs. Luck perpetually graces you. Opportunities effortlessly fall in your lap. Life literally feels like a video game Thinking you have that safety net completely changed your reality. Three years later you've accomplish insane feats. Left the soul sucking job. Built a successful business. Making more money than you know what to do withHere's the thing though. Does the trust fund actually exist? I mean all you were told was that it does. But you never actually saw it Let's even say that your parents faked it and straight up lied to you. Didn't matter. Entire time it was simply a concept that only ever existed in your mind. But note that the belief itself was enough to make it real. The emotions surrounding the belief made it real This is manifestation 101. Only difference is that instead of someone giving you permission to feel abundance, you just have to create that permission yourself. Instead of being led to believe something, create the proof on your own. You've already made it. You're being taken care of. There's no reason to be riddled with anxiety. You can just operate as if, and it would be true Why would that be true? How do you know? Because it exists in your mind. All you have to do is allow what's certain your mind to naturally transform the energy you radiate into the physical reality. You move the same way today as if you were already secure. You take the same actions today as if you already made it. You make things real by assuming they already are

People don't understand how insanely high IQ Newton was. This is a man who had no background in math or algebra until he was ~20. In <3 years, Newton got himself to the frontier, then invented calculus, thought of the inverse square law, and the theory of colors & light. He was so intellectually superior he withdrew from the scientific community because he had no peers. Only when Halley was trying to calculate planets' motion by means of an inverse square law, he remembered he knew this old, extremely intelligent professor; he might be able to help him. When the problem was taken to Newton, he said "it's such and such." How do you know, asked Halley. "I proved it a couple of years ago." That's what led to The Principia; it was the exposition of what Newton had uncovered in his younger years and was lying around as a pile of private papers.
