Cooper is having a great start to the season averaging 25.0 PPG through three games , with 32 points (vs. Houston) and 29 points (vs. Miami) in two of them. Against Miami he went for 29/6/11 with 5 steals and 3 blocks in 40 minutes and has been efficient (56.5% FG, 90% FT so far).
OKC is heavily short-handed, which softens what has been one of the league’s best defenses early in the season (around 100–102 points allowed per game / strong defensive rating):
Jalen Williams out (fractured fibula dislocated ankle; likely season-altering/surgery).
Cason Wallace out (shoulder labral tear/surgery).
Chet Holmgren out (knee).
Alex Caruso out (ankle), plus others (Topic, Sorber).
Ajay Mitchell questionable.
That in itself will make this an even matchup, missing those perimeter defenders and shot blocker will help Flagg be able to find driving lanes to the rim. Give me the over here in this home matchup for Flagg and the Mavs.

The Panthers are averaging 9.4 MORE PPG than Tampa Bay through 5 weeks (29.2 vs 19.8). Bryce Young is having the best start to his career BY FAR, averaging 309.8 passing yards per game with 11 TD’s and only 2 INT’s.
Tampa Bay is dealing with injuries and illnesses up and down this lineup, and even when they’ve been healthy it hasn’t mattered much. This team is now 1-12 ATS over its last 13 games dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Carolina has looked like the much better team through five weeks and now gets this division matchup at HOME. We fully expect this passing game to be cooking all afternoon against a Tampa defense that has struggled to slow teams down.
This one feels VERY simple… give us the better team, at home, laying less than a field goal in a division game.
