Teamsters Local 396 was proud to participate in the California Labor Federation’s Biennial Convention, where unions from across California came together to discuss the future of the labor movement and take action on behalf of working families.
During the convention, delegates endorsed Proposition 40, the Billionaire Tax initiative, which will give Californians the opportunity to invest in our schools, healthcare, and public services by ensuring the wealthiest pay their fair share. Delegates also voted to endorse Xavier Becerra for Governor of California.
These endorsements reflect the labor movement’s commitment to fighting for economic justice, protecting workers’ rights, and electing leaders who will stand with working people.
Teamsters Local 396 is proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with unions from across the state as we continue building worker power and strengthening the voice of working people throughout California.

On average today, it takes 458 days to secure a first union contract. This is a problem that we can solve right now.
The Faster Labor Contracts Act establishes a reliable first contract bargaining timeframe. Teamsters and workers across the country are done waiting for corporate-backed politicians to hold Big Business accountable.
Tell your member of Congress to “sign the discharge petition” and bring the Faster Labor Contracts Act to a vote: actionnetwork.org/letters/te…
