The LoLMK Poro Cup marked the first large-scale Constructed Riftbound tournament hosted by LoLMK, featuring a Skirmish format with 5 Swiss rounds followed by a Top 8 playoff.
A huge thank you to Gen.G, Riot Korea, and Asmodee for making this event possible.

Last Sunday, I had the honor of serving as the Head of Tournament Operations for 『T1 Trials - Riftbound』, held at KINTEX Exhibition Center 2, Hall 6-C.
I'd like to sincerely thank all the players who joined us early in the morning, despite the chilly autumn rain.
I'd also like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone at T1 for trusting me with this event and working tirelessly alongside us to make it happen.
But the competition isn't over yet!
This Sunday, November 8, the highly anticipated TOP 16 Playoffs will take place at T1 BASE CAMP GANGNAM.
Who will emerge as the ultimate champion?
Stay tuned and show your support until the very end!
And my journey with Riftbound is far from over.
There are still many exciting things I've been working on behind the scenes, and I can't wait to share them with you, one by one.
Thank you all for your continued support!

Largest riftbound tournament in Korea and LoLMK is representing with 20+ members

Our Riftbound members were really excited for the new KDA riftbound sets and some opted to camp out the night before. There were hundreds of scalpers and resellers in line in front of Lotte Tower and there were incidents where they forcefully harassed some of our members and demanded they go back to the end of the line after they left for a few minutes.
Afterwards, they were heard bragging how many they were able to acquire and some even hired a truck to transport their haul.
There has been many other stories trending online about the aggressiveness of these scalpers.
This is disgusting behavior and our members (and players) should not be subject to this type of harassment.
Next time, a riot ID should be required to purchase these limited items at the very least.

LoLMK and TCG Riftbound Community has successfully hosted the first over Riftbound 2v2 tournament in Korea at Gen.G GGX, our amazing partners.
We received overwhelming positive feedback and said they would love to see more in the future.
It makes the game more social as you get to work together with your partners and strategize together to try and win.
We will continue to be hosting Riftbound events for our community members and to the public and we are excited to be an integral part of the Riftbound Scene in Korea
Congratulations @Kreducate and @DoryRiftbound08 for winning and @etiennecherbon1 and @Talonflame_RB for second place.
Thanks @Sweetstairs for being the head organizer for this event as well as the other LoLMK staff for helping with judging and logistics.

Hot take on Korea Riftbound scene:
People who already won skirmishes and already received invites to the Korea Regionals should not attend more skirmishes because it is unfair to other players.
Due to growing pains, there are not enough nexus nights or skirmishes so people get RNGed out from being able to play.
And if players are lucky enough to attend, if they face a RD winner R1 and lose, there is no way for them to win. It is gatekeeping.
Imagine an intermediate player sign up to their first skirmish and see that there are already 8+ players who won previous Skirmishes.
Let the players who haven’t won yet have a fair shot at doing well and advance.

The solution would be to drastically increase the number of venues/orgs who are allowed to host official riftbound events so everyone who wants to play at an official level is able to.
Korea is a small country and half the population (25 million) is situated in Seoul/Greater Seoul area. And it takes 3-4 hours to travel to the opposite side of the country.
The current number of Seoul based events is not going to cut it.
Amazed to see LoLMK members attending the first Nexus Night held at LoLPark!
Thanks @WadidXD for letting us repost and hope to see you at our event soon!
