I’m still playing Trails Chapter 2 with FE: Fortune’s Weave waiting and now Final Fantasy Resonance also in the backlog as Ocarina of Time is circling like a shark in the perimeter. Good times for gamers!

Hey @SquareEnix why is there no upgrade path or save compatibility between #FinalFantasyResonance Switch and Switch 2? I cancelled my order today when I saw this. Farming gamers is bad news for game developers.

Game development today relies on processing power over optmization. Optimization requires people hours (which are expensive) while the cost of processing power is pushed to the gamer.
Tbh Nintendo is just as bad as Sony (and probably worse). There’s a tacit understanding between gamers and proprietary hardware. Be fair, offer value and we good. Break it and the pirates go crazy. Always been this way.
First… need the jailbreak to work on v14 so I can do this. But while everyone is shocked / angry this is why proprietary hardware sucks and open systems like PC / Linux are so much better. This isn’t just Sony. It’s all of them (including Apple).

This narrative is crazy. Sony lied all these years by telling people that you can’t play the PS2 and PS3 games they own on disc on PS5, and the only way to play them is through a subscription.
Sword just proved that they lied. His open-source software is going viral because you can literally play all of your games on PS5. He is all over X, TT and YT with millions of views. People are pissed at Sony for lying all these years.
Sword is getting the creator fees and is super thankful to the Pumpfun community, so he can continue developing his software.

I get both sides tbh. I'm a long time FE fan. Played every game including the ROM hacks. But Fortune's Weave is overwhelming and that's a design problem not a player problem. I appreciate the content but I think more than half the gamers won't get through more than 25% of it.
It will forever astound me that gaming at large is all about "respect creative vision" until anything causes the slightest bit of inconvenience and then I gotta hear about how all these people complaining are apparently the only people who play games who have jobs and other responsibilities lol.
Arlo's video wasn't that bad, but the people quoting and going "Well I got other shit to do" are like...missing the point. Games are entertainment media they are not food, they are not required for you to function and they will still be there a week from now.
Stop confusing FOMO and wanting to be able to say you beat a thing with the actual experience of playing it. FW has made so many more concessions to make the alternate routes playthroughs and other things more streamlined as you go through more.
Even if there do end up being some pacing issues I'm just tired of hearing about how apparently all these people are the first ever to play a video game who also have to work a 9-5 and how gaming needs to be built around a specific 25-30 something age range so they don't feel left out instead of making the game how they want.
We need to stop letting social media and complaints dictate our talking points. If you think the game is too big, fine, just stop qualifying it where the game or piece of media doesn't bend to your schedule. We don't do this with tvs and movies but we do it constantly with games lol.

Totally outrageous. I generally buy the Switch 1 version of Square-Enix games because they are still on cart but this is going to be a problem for me down the road. Also remember that DQ11s isn't upgradeable or compatible with our Switch 1 saves. Why is Square enshitifying?

I jailbroke my PS4 plus and transferred my PS2 and PSX library over to it's huge HDD. Not gonna JB the PS5 because I want to use it online or my PS3 because that's a dedicated PS3 console now. I love jailbreaks though. Keep 'em coming. My hardware is mine. I paid for it. I own it
