Our study on nanodiscs and ion channel structure is now published: rdcu.be/duXkK. We hope this will spur more consideration into the impact of nanodiscs on membrane protein structure. @VikramDalal_37 @PageAnesthesia @GraceBrannigan @WUSTL_AnesRsrch

Very proud to see our latest work on #SCN2A online @JGenPhysiol. Great work by Chris Thompson (@Channelsrus25) in collaboration with @JohnMillichapMD. Might be the first time patch clamp data are presented as volcano plots.
Automated patch clamp was originally developed for the pharmaceutical industry, but Thompson et al. repurpose it to investigate functional properties of several sodium channel variants associated with neurodevelopmental disorders bit.ly/47xrSCz #SCN2A #epilepsy

Doubly honored and grateful to receive the @SBEsp award “Manuel Rico” Bruker 2023 and to share this recognition with such an amazing colleague @FMorenoHerrero! (Side note: We should get a free T-shirt from @uniovi_info 😂)
I am very grateful to @SBEsp for awarding me the “Manuel Rico” Bruker prize for my biophysics work done in Spain over the last 10 years. Coincidentally, I have also the privilege to share the prize with @giraldezT, a colleague from Oviedo @uniovi_info, our hometown in Asturias!

#OTD 1863, Abraham Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg address in less than 2 minutes. The audience's response was muted, prompting Lincoln to reportedly tell a companion: "It is a flat failure and the people are disappointed." The speech is now regarded as one of America's finest.
