Current Events. I met two wonderful, friendly people today (10/19/26) in Port Jeff this afternoon, Sab and Val, on a layover from France (not really, private jet...), landing at FOK a day or two ago. They happened to walk into PJYC, and we got to talking about France. I wish I had recorded the conversation and stated so, but this is my best recollection of our wonderful short time together. I obviously asked about their views of current events in France. In no uncertain terms, they both believed the riots revolved around students protesting the poor upkeep of facilities, lack of heat and AC, and, generally, just a broken educational system, along with ER visits that Val characterized as well over 10 hours or more. Our ERs aren't much better in some metropolises, but I digress. I expressed that some views in the USA believe this violent behavior is due to radicals, and they both immediately responded: the far right always says that; it's not. I responded in a very friendly way: you know, over 20 million people invaded the USA in a short period of time. This influx quickly depleted our resources and required much more money. I hope they both had a great day visiting our beautiful island, and I reminded them that, because they seemed concerned about raucous activities, most of the USA is like Port Jeff. Clean, friendly, free of crime, from the mountaintops to the seas white with foam.

Is this judge kidding us? All he needed to do was declare whether the evidence presented had proven that the defendant, Tyler Robinson, should face a Death Penalty charge or not. What is he doing? Good grief!

If the Southern Poverty Law Center has been accused of not obeying nonprofit 501 c(?) regulations, the IRS should immediately revoke its nonprofit status. Come on guys, use the tools we have. Blockades work. Starve them out of business and see if they can afford to defend the allegations

Trump just called on all healthcare companies, including drug manufacturers, to lower prices! Meetings will follow before Congress reconvenes. Will they show up? Let's see the Democrats' response. If they badmouth this idea, we will know how deep their pockets are lined with graft.

I'm sitting here watching the Senate argue over reopening the government. It seems that the Democrats enjoy shutting down the USA. If we didn't learn from what they did to us during COVID, shame on us.

New York Governor Hochul said the quiet part out loud. NY taxpayers are generous, and that's how we support NY's social programs. I'm seething. Our money, their programs and projects.

Why do Texas State Legislators make $7,200 a year, but New York State Legislators make $142,000 a year plus full health coverage? Plus, when they retire, their pension is based on tier 1 or 2, which no other public employee has been eligible for since the 90s. They basically get well over 100K pension plus health. This is ridiculous! $31,000,000 in salaries plus health and retirement. New Yorkers need to address this outlandish expense!
