If it was up to Nigerians, they would NEVER have allowed southern Cameroon leave without a war. They could break away because; A) their politicians were resolved; 9 of the 13 lawmakers from the region has a posture of “benevolent indifference” towards Nigerian politics. They didn’t care about Nigeria, and made no attempt to influence anything within Nigeria. B) The matter wasn’t up to Nigerians, and their constitutional settlement, due to widely divergent history anyway, was approved by British blessing through the 1954 Littleton constitution. None of the WaZoBia gang had anything to do with it, so saying “AG supported them” as part of the causal factors is ridiculous — AG supported the UMBC too, why didn’t they get their region? This, as any one who isn’t a dishonest hack may notice, is widely different from the ruling powers dividing the Western region for purely political reasons. We know the reasons were purely political because they didn’t pursue the same policies in their region that was even more deserving.
