Abdul El-Sayed wrote an essay during Breast Cancer Awareness Month attacking research and funding for the disease. I just can’t move past this as someone who has lost 3 family members to the disease and I think this is devastating for a Democratic Senator or candidate to hold these views at any point in their life. Sorry can’t fix this, as this essay and his views has been in the atmosphere for years, manipulating the public’s minds, as women suffered, died, and families mourned. The arrogance, audacity, and cruelty of him to write it during the advocacy month. Every year about 43,000 women in the United States die from Breast Cancer. Lifetime statistics show 1 in 43 women could die from the disease. Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths among women age 20 to 59 years old. Because of research, funding, and awareness that El-Sayed complains about, the death rate since 1989 has decreased by 40%. Make no mistake, by Abdul El-Sayed making an issue of women seeking and receiving help, it has everything to do with his hatred towards women and his views and dedication for life to Sharia Law. We all saw this in his misogynistic campaign against Haley Stevens, where he demeaned her repeatedly. El-Sayed is unfit, unqualified, and too extreme to serve as a Democratic Senator in the United States of America. It’s no secret I’ve always believed this and learning this new information just cements that belief. Women of all ages, race, politics, or religion should protest vote Abdul El-Sayed and we should never forget those that stand with him.
