It is on my heart to expose the terrible deception that the spirit of Antichrist has succeeded in introducing among the millions of people who call on the name of God. This spirit has explained away the obedience of faith—and with it, the whole gospel.
The spirit of Antichrist has also falsified grace, with the result that most of these people believe they are God’s children, when in fact they are not. In order to shed light on this deception—and thereby reveal true grace and the gospel as well—I have arranged the subject matter in a series of brief chapters, each containing this subject as the recurring theme. This way you will be able to read them separately and gain an understanding of the deception in the specific area you are interested in. This deception has had an effect on every aspect of life.
It is amazing how this deception had already taken hold so firmly in the time of the apostles. When you read their epistles, you will see how earnestly the apostles warn against this deception, exhorting us to be on guard against it. Now if this was the state of affairs in the time of the apostles, what about in our own day and age!
It is my hope that, after reading these chapters, you will have gained a thorough understanding of this deception.
This book is intended for those who want to be disciples, for those who are seeking true godliness.
Your happy brother in grace and salvation,
Sigurd Bratlie

Real life isn’t all fun conversations, debates, likes, and followers. There are people beside you who need your time, your attention, and your love.
The people online debating with you or having those everyday “How was your day?” conversations don’t live with you. If they get your laughter, your curiosity, your thoughtful responses, and your undivided attention while your family gets one-word replies and distracted silence, it’s time to reevaluate your priorities.
It hurts to watch a screen get the presence your family keeps asking for. Being in the same room doesn’t mean you’re being present.
Jesus taught us to love one another. That love has to show up in how we treat the people at home, too, in our patience, our conversations, and the attention we freely give them.
Put the phone down. Be present. The people you love shouldn’t have to compete with a screen to feel seen.
“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:21
This is what God's grace is intended for: not just to get our sins forgiven, but to help us live like God, who is holy, sober and righteous.
“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.”

There Is a Future and Hope for the God-Fearing
Faithful souls have a bright future. Even after they die, their work will live on in succeeding generations. The work of faithless souls perishes. Those who quietly, unobtrusively strive to live a God-fearing life are preparing themselves for the kingdom that is not of this world.
“There is no God in heaven or on earth like You, who keep Your covenant and mercy with Your servants who walk before You with all their hearts.” 2 Chron. 6:14. Notice the expression, “with all their hearts.” God keeps His covenant. He never fails. If we are faithless, He remains faithful. He is a faithful pillar of support and a sure defense for us in all our trials.
“Blessed is every one who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways. When you eat the labor of your hands, you shall be happy, and it shall be well with you.” Psalm 128:1-2. Everything goes according to foreordained laws. Just as everything in this world is governed by the laws of nature, so everything in the spiritual world is governed by the laws of the Spirit.
To get as much as possible out of our time here on earth, we must devote our life to the laws of the kingdom of heaven. Blessed is the man who has his delight “in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.” Psalm 1:2-3.
We have seen countless examples that prove this is true. Why not choose the very best? Why not bring your life into harmony with the laws of the Spirit? Don’t compare yourself with people who are worse than you, but look to the very best examples you have. “Evil company corrupts good habits.”
Press forward on the narrow way. There is a crown that you can lay hold of, exactly as God has created you—just as you are. You have everything you need to obtain the crown. Let no one take your crown! If others have to do what you should have done, they take your crown. Your negligence will cost you your battle prize.
So don’t give up! Find the works that God has prepared for you, so that you can enter into His rest. Those who work according to God’s directions and according to the laws of the Spirit will certainly reach the goal and enter His rest. This is the reason that these people are so blessed—they who meditate on God’s law so they can battle lawfully, work righteously and hear properly.

The Gospel of God | Romans 1
(Btw, this is where it starts getting interesting 👀)
“Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy scriptures, the gospel concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh and designated Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 1:1-4.
The Old Testament prophets prophesied about Jesus in Isaiah 7:14-15 and in chapters 9 and 53. We also read about Him in Micah 5, and in many, many other scriptures. In the New Testament we can find prophecies about Him in Luke 24:25-27, Acts 18:28, 1 Peter 1:10-13, and other places.
In the above verses Paul briefly explains in two parts the gospel of God concerning Jesus: (1) who He is according to the flesh, and (2) who He is according to the Spirit. If we disregard or change either one of these parts, we do not have the gospel of God.
What does it mean that He was descended from David according to the flesh? Quite simply, it means what it says. We know about David and his seed. Paul was of the same lineage. Hebrews 2:16. Paul says concerning himself, “For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh.” Romans 7:18. And Jesus’ flesh was just like that.
According to the Spirit of holiness He was designated Son of God in power by His resurrection from the dead. We cannot change this fact either. So the question arises: When He came to earth in that body which was of the seed of David, did He come with all the fullness of God in His Spirit? The answer is “No,” because it is written, “. . . who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross.” Philippians 2:6-8.
We often hear it said, “He was true God and true Man.” But this is not true if you mean that He retained all God’s fullness when He came to earth in the body that was of the seed of David. Nor is this statement appropriate in light of what is written in Hebrews 12:2, “. . . looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith.”
