"new" here is a bit of a stretch.
GNU's FBS done an incredible job restoring many of the abandoned vehicles by the LAAF in Tarhuna [covered in a timeless piece by @oryxspioenkop ]
Including but not limited to
T-62M
T-55E
2S3 Akatsiya SPG
2x EE-9 Cascavel
And other equipment

GNU also have been getting alot of new stuff. I assume they hide their stuff well. Esspacially the radar..either kalkan-2..or Alp-100g. I think..i think they may have upgraded their defenses a tad bit too mich
⚡⚡️🇹🇷🇱🇾 Leaked footage circulating on social media, alongside excerpts from an official release, shows LAAF personnel receiving training on Türkiye’s MKE TOLGA short-range air-defence (SHORAD) and counter-UAS system made by @MKEgovtr [Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi].
More on the equipment and fire arms displayed in the recent LAAF special forces parade/drills:
Assault rifles:
🇷🇺AK-15
🇷🇺AK-103
🇧🇾VSK-100
🇮🇹Nuova Jager Solid series M4?
GP Machine gun:
🇷🇸 Zastava M84
Sniper rifle:
🇷🇺Orsis T-5000
A very interesting large calibre [14.5mm?] AMR of unknown model also appeared in large numbers which LAAF special forces units.
The rifle was first spotted with the 604th brigade deployed in Northern Niger 7 months ago.
GNU's 211th armour bttln (of the 111th brgd) is back on the range & seems to have been further striped down to platoon-size by reallocating their 4 T-72 tanks to the 462nd infantry bttln (same brgd) seen in last week's column.
Notably: HQ T-55 with anti-FPVcage on the turret.

- The battalion despite its name is merely a company size deploying 4 T-72s and 5 T-55s as seen from an older video.
- the tanks are a mishmashed mix of camouflage patterns some of them are still in the paint scheme of the disbanded 210th battalion that was under Al-Kikli
LAAF publicly display their Belarusian UAV fleet organic to the Sa'iqa special forces units:
Mirotvorets One-way attack UAV
Busel reconnaissance UAV
Hmmm,to my humble knowledge ,this the 1st visual evidence of what appears to be a Belarusian Strike UAV complex (by Mirotvorets) ,on #Libya/n soil.
I was wrong to assume it's another LNA chinese OTC VTOL, packaged nicely.
Thank you for asking.
This will need long thread once better footage is released but for now a couple of very interesting vehicles with LAAF Sa'iqa cool new gear:
🇺🇸 Polaris RZR Pro R 4 ultra light tactical with EO/IR surveillance gimbal.
🇯🇴 Al-Wahsh MRAP with Jadara Quad-Terminator ATGM launcher.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the country… ⚠️
While the LAAF gets spacious desert obstacle courses at Qiminis to put its MRAPs through their paces, Tripoli’s Rada’a are stress-testing drone-caged MRAPs & heavy ZU-23-2 technicals "Rear-Arc" manoeuvres inside Mitiga airport.

Another interesting 📽️ of 🇷🇺 training programmes for LAAF personnel at Qiminis military complex, this time featuring a Spartak MRAP navigating a vehicle obstacle course.
The complex also features a dedicated tank obstacle course& shooting range.

Seems like Sa'iqa has been upgrading their main HQ in Benghazi as well, not only their ranks and equipment.
A rather unfortunate jump (safety reserve 🪂 deployed) shared online reveals aerial view of LAAF's new Turkish MRAPs (technically: MPAVs)
⚡️ Around 100 Turkish-made BMC AMAZON 4×4 MRAPs appear in a lineup of the LAAF’s Sa’iqa Special Forces.
Notably, the vehicles appear to have an “ANS” marking in place of BMC’s usual front-facing logo. The reason for the substitution remains unclear.
Crew of the LAAF’s Mi-17 “Thunder Squadron” unboxing several pristine condition UB-16-57UMP unguided rocket pods at Tamanhint airbases.
It's unclear whether these are legacy or recent deliveries since 🇷🇺 announced the newer S-5U rockets in 2019 compatible with these older pods.
Turns out the couple of Gvozdika SPGs are actually the US made M109 155mm Howitzers (delivered in the 1960s to the Libyan kingdom), last time seen in 2020 abandoned by the LAAF in Tarhuna in an extremely rough shape.
GNU's nostalgia run remains undisputed.
GNU's “border staff” assembling a mixed force for a drill, drawing on the 111th Brgd & 462nd Bttln:
2× T-72A
2× T-72 Ural
4× M113 APC
2× M1151 HMMWV
1× M1114 HMMWV fitted with a Cockerill 90 mm gun
1× Ural-4320
2x Palmaría 155mm SPG
2× Gvozdika 122mm SPG
+ a dozen technicals.

This time, the site reportedly belonged to the “CTF”, with a 🇹🇷-supplied BMC Kirpi making another appearance across these incidents.
One curious detail: the last 3 incidents all occurred on Fridays.
Impressive bodywork on this Czechoslovak T-55AM1 (equipped with a Kladivo rangefinder), at a somewhat less impressive workshop in Tripoli [unidentified faction].
The workshop appears to be staffed by a mix of local and foreign technicians.
