British escape room idea:
You’re in a room having a cup of tea as someone’s guest. You have an hour to leave and you’re not allowed to say the words “right”, “well”, “best”, better”, “make”, “move”, “going” or “time”. You are not allowed to slap your thighs.
That’s it.

Maybe, instead of National Service for 18 year olds they should introduce national service for MPs.
They all have to do several weeks volunteering in a school, GP, hospital, care home, social care and police within their first 12 months in office.
Just received this wonderful note from a parent, whose daughter read #LittleBang by @KMcCaughrain with my Book Club. Pupil loved it & spoke about it so much at home, mum asked to borrow it!

It’s almost 10am & I’m still in bed! Started reading just after 7am & only stopped because my Kindle died!

It astonishes me that for 13 years this govt has claimed high standards as justification for its actions. Yet it now wants to lower the requirements to train as a teacher to solve the recruitment and retention crisis it has created. Degree ❌ maths ❌ They are not serious people. – at Cambourne, England

As I wasn’t around in ‘66, it’s got to be the Lionesses becoming champions of Europe last year. (Or Ipswich beating Arsenal 1-0 to win the FA Cup in 1978!) ⚽️ 🏆

This book has moved me completely.
What an incredible, powerful & thought-provoking collection of poems on British Black history.
Thank you to @readingagency & @PenguinUKBooks for our copies. I cannot wait to discuss this with pupils next week

MPs’ pay increased earlier this year by around £2,400.
This represents a 31.7% increase since 2010, not 42% as a social media post claimed.
